Summary: Absolutely fabulous!
Review: I have found this book to be extremely useful in putting together complete Barbie outfits, and it's a lot of fun to just browse through. I highly recommend both this book and Vol I, I hope Vol III is here soon!

Summary: Excellent design inspiration resource, too.
Review: I used to be an art student, and still like to collect art & design books from many different kinds of resources. This book could be a great design resource in general; patterns, colors, combination of different materials. Recently, I started knitting a little handbag with fancy yarn as hobby (it is now a trendy in Tokyo ) and this book has been a good inspiration for me. I took a hint from the texture and color combination from Barbie's outfit in 60's. I have to admit that I have not been particularly Barbie fan at all, however when I happened to find the book at a toy store's shelf while waitting for my friend's daughter's shopping, just peeking throught the colorful pages, I had to go back to the store to purchase it later on. The pictures of Barbie were barely shown, just pages after pages just for her mix and match clothing and cute accesaries that come with, everytime I pick up the book I still find something new.

Summary: A must own for Barbie collectors
Review: If you collect Barbies this book is a MUST OWN It is well written easy to follow and makes identifying those garage and flea market finds easy. I could not believe how much this book saved me I can see what items are supposed to be with a clothing set- just last week I found a mismatched set offered as completely original imagine the dealers surprise when I showed her the proper accessories for the dress she had. I saved and the dealer was so impressed shes going to buy a copy of the book.

Summary: Bible for Barbie collectors!
Review: In Hong Kong, it is not popular to collect vintage Barbie dolls so that it is not easy to explore specific related knowledge. This book really helps a lot. It is a bible for every Barbie collectors!

Summary: GORGEOUS "get me" clothes! Priced for today!
Review: Sarah Sink Eames has done it again. Another GREAT book of fashions and their value, as of this updated version 2001. Gorgeous dresses I already marked pages so I could get! I always thought I'd only like the earlier book's "real" vintage items, but these are gorgeous -- and old -- too. Has Barbie, Francie, Tutti, Stacy and Skipper, as well as some great Ken selections. Shows the dolls of the times. A MUST HAVE for those who love old Barbie fashions! I can't get over, tho, the "$1.50" prices on some of the packages for these outfits now worth over $100! None worth $1,000 like in the Vol I book, but still beautiful. Some are too "70s" for me, but I LOVE the gowns, lace, roses, velvet, wedding gowns, etc.

Summary: Barbie Doll Fashion Vol. II, 1968-1974
Review: Sarah's second book is an extremely useful and comprehensive guide to Barbie's wonderful world of fashion. The book covers the Mod era, and includes high-quality photos of every outfit, right down to earrings and purses. I loved how it didn't just cover Barbie fashion, but also her friends Ken, Francie, Skipper, PJ, etc. It would be an excellent addition to your Barbie book collection.

Summary: The Most Beautiful and Informative of All Barbie Books
Review: This book and its companion volume, 'Barbie Doll Fashion: 1959-1967', are without doubt the most beautiful and informative books on the market for the vintage and mod era Barbie collector today. They are very well-written, with lovely photographs of absolutely pristine examples of each outfit, enough to make you drool over on every single page!

'Barbie Doll Fashion: 1968-1974' covers the fashions from Barbie's exciting Mod era, and includes fashions not only for Barbie, but for her friends and family as well. These include original outfits, Pak outfits, Best Buys, Get Ups and Gos, Store Exclusives and every other type of outfit available from 1968 to 1974.

Each outfit is described in detail, with a photograph showing the outfit and all accessories next to it, laying flat. Some outfits are shown on the doll. The photography is stunning, by far the best of any Barbie book I've ever seen.

'Barbie Doll Fashion: 1968-1974' isn't just informative, it's a catalogue of dreams to build on, and a fun book just to sit and look at. You'll never be sorry you own it!
