Summary: Functional; No More, No Less
Review: Patricia Veasey's "Waterfowl Illustrated" falls short of being an all-inclusive, definitive collection of waterfowl reference photos. About half the photos are black & white, and therefore less useful to carving and painting enthusiasts like myself. Many of the photos also lack sharp focus, which is practically a must for those hoping to use the photos for reference.
In addition, some N.American species are missing from the book, while a few European birds appear instead.
Still, the book is probably a better collection of photos than the ones you've taken, and as such it may be a useful reference for the better-photographed species included.
