Summary: Fun,beautiful,but not all that useful
Review: The Domain book is a fun read, my fiance and I enjoyed the personality tests, and found that we're not quite what we expected.As we've moved into our first home, though, I don't go back to this book as a reference for decorating. It was a fun one-time read, with lots of eye candy. If you buy it, buy it for an hour or two of enjoyment, and don't expect much more.

Summary: Domain Book of Intuitive Design
Review: The Domain Book made it really easy for me to identify what type of decor I would really like. It was easy reading and very easy to understand. I was able to take examples from the book and apply them to my own project. I was able to identify my personality type and relate to furniture and decor I was seeking. Thanks Judy George for all the help.

Summary: Bursting with FUN!
Review: The Domain Book of Intuitive Design first allows the reader an opportunity for self-exploration, and then provides the occasion to make the "self" work within the realm of home furnishings. Room by room suggestions are provided for selections that could work for the reader's own personality type. The language in The Domain Book is simply fun - adverbs and adjectives abound! I found the book to be enjoyable upon reading it on my own, but I had the most fun completing the test and predicting personality types with friends and family. Not only did the results of the test provoke debate among readers, the discussion about furniture selection within the personality types also allowed for a lively conversation. Cuddle up on a comfy chair by yourself or gather friends around, and have fun with The Domain Book of Intuitive Design!

Summary: Finally...a framework for determining your own design style!
Review: The Domain Book of Intuitive Home Design is the first decorating book I have found that provides an actual framework for determining your own design style. The intuitive personality quiz found at the beginning of the book is fun to take -- either by yourself, or with family and friends. I also found the quiz to be very enlightening... Now I know why I am attracted to certain colors and styles! This book includes a wide variety of beautiful photographs that illustrate examples of design styles that fit each personality type. I enjoyed reviewing all of the wonderful spaces featured throughout the book. But I am most excited by the fact that I came away with a set of tools that I can really use in creating my own living spaces. I highly recommend this unique and wonderful book.

Summary: I like the personality approach
Review: The personality approach is a great idea. Readers who like that approach should also look at The New Decorating Book, which also offers a personality quiz (in the first chapter) and then refers back to the four personality types throughout the book. Personally, I'm glad to see this emphasis on decorating for who you are versus following arbitrary trends.

Review: The personality quiz is a great way to begin the book and learn more about yourself. Beautiful photography that captures each of the four personalities. I've had fun discussing the quiz and personality types with my friends and family, that have also read the book.

Review: The test was sort of fun, but not very helpful in the long run. Did one person design all the photos, because there wasn't very much variety. I found it overbearing and borish on the whole. Like the author was more ensconced in her own sense of style. I'm glad this book was a gift.

Review: This book is great! It really helped me see what kind of style I have. I enjoyed the quiz and plan to share it with my friends. I am not someone who necessary follows the latest trends and it was great to see my sense of style represented. I think this book will really give people confidence in their own sense of style. What an engaging, insightful book!!

Summary: Great design approach
Review: This book made me not just to flip through the pictures (which are great), but actully read it almost non-stop. Like a great novel, book captured my attention with a new, unusual approach to home design. "Tell me what your living room looks like - and I'll tell you who you're." Now I don't have to feel "un-artsitic" when my friend buys yet another antique at estate sale and I, honestly, don't care about it - I am just a differnet personality type! Reading Judy's book actullgave me a feeling of liberation.Thank you! Excellent beginning!

Review: This is a wonderfully insightful book into home design that lets the reader learn more about his/her personality, and that gives beautifully pictured examples of the way a person like you might decorate different rooms. Great fun for husband and wife to do together during plane flight or over vacation. Highly recommend this engaging, unique book.
