Rating: Summary: A book to use over and over.... Review: I do scrapbooking and was never fond of the sticker letters, so on a whim I bought this book. Goodbye sticker letters! Your own lettering on the scrapbook page looks much nicer to me than the stickers and you never have to worry about running out of the alphabet letters or what color you need. These are very simple to do, I can fairly easily copy them, but I know I could never come up with them on my own. There is a great variety of lettering, each one having its own type of "mood" so you know when it is right for the page you are doing...fun, serious, kiddish, whatever. This book has been worth its weight and if you are bored of writing titles in plain block letters, this will really brighten up your titles.

Rating: Summary: A must for scrapbookers! Review: I don't consider myself an artist by any means, but I am confident that I could draw any of these alphabets (I've used at least 8 so far)! They're relatively simple, but look fantastic and add a lot to scrapbook pages, cards, kids' school projects, party crafts - anything requiring lettering. Also, Becky didn't duplicate any of the alphabets she's done in Creating Keepsakes magazine, so these are all new for me.

Rating: Summary: Good but not that good Review: I have always admired BH pages and my biggest problem with scrapping has been headlines .. they have always looked drab and I've always oooweed and aaahhed over her page lettering. After purchasing Creative Companion I decided to go the full way and also purchase this book to see if I could improve my lettering. Well at first I thought it wasn't going to be any good because it doesn't really have a step by step guide, rather it is pages of complete alphabets (like you see in the magazines). Anyway, I sat down and in under half an hour I had done 3 headlines, different styles, coloured, outlined and complete and let me say I was impressed. I am no artist by any means and if your freehand is as poor as mine then this book is for you if you are looking to copy or trace her letters (trace using Vellum, comes up a treat!). This book is for scrapbooking pages and cant imagine it would be any good for anything else apart from maybe card making. Given the cost of this book and Creative Companion (AU$105 combined) I really dont think it's worth it. Creative Companion should have another tab section in it covering the alphabets, especially for the price but that's another review! So the Jury is out. Yes it has helped me but I really dont think this book was worth AU$37 alone.
Rating: Summary: This is the best lettering book ever Review: I have over 20 scrapbook books and this is the best. Everything is so detailed and easy to draw. This is a must have for anyone who loves to scrapbook.
Rating: Summary: Amazing--I never thought I could do this! Review: I have pretty good penmanship... but my drafting skills are about equivalent to those of a modestly talented 5th grader. I had doubts that this book could help me, but after hearing repeated glowing reviews from my scrapbooking friends, I decided to check it out.Am I ever glad I did! The very first title I did with these techniques (using Becky's "Classic" alphabet) came out so well that my husband and mother thought it was a printout of a computer font. Now I'm hooked--I can't wait to give every one of these fun alphabets a try! If you love Becky Higgins' fun, crisp style as seen in Creating Keepsakes, you owe it to yourself to pick up this book. You'll be giving your pages that "Becky touch" in no time!
Rating: Summary: WOW! 50 completely new font ideas. This book Rocks Review: I like that "The Art of Creative Lettering" is full color throughout. Its a beautifully done book with lettering ideas for scrapbooks, cards and more. These alphabets are so sharp they should be used on banners and bill boards too! Becky Higgins is the right artist in the right place at the right time. Five thumbs up!
Rating: Summary: Don't use for a wedding... Review: I purchased this book with the intent of using it to address the envelopes for my wedding. While I suppose the alphabets it provides are fine for a scrap book, they could never be used on Wedding Invitations as the title and the description suggest. The fonts are "cutsie" and childish. I would NOT recommend this book for a bride.
Rating: Summary: Excellent Book!! Review: I received my copy of this book yesterday. After paging through it, I pulled out my scrapbook supplies and did 5 layouts using ideas from this book. They are some of my best pages. Becky's style is very clean, neat, and appealing to the eye. This book will change how I scrapbook from now on. I am very impressed! It was well worth the money.
