Review: Although I have never lived with a cat, BUFFY MY LOVE has been my chief consolation since my little dog died. I agree with Sandy Robins, book reviewer for CAT FANCY, when she writes that Philip Dattilo "has put a universal love story on paper that anyone who has ever loved an animal can identify with" (Sept. '03). BUFFY MY LOVE is simply a beautiful book in both its words and its photographs.

Review: Anyone who has loved and lost a pet knows only other animal lovers can understand the deep communication that exists with these faithful and mysterious creatures. The author has unselfconsciously recorded his remembrance of his beloved cat.
I just finished reading The Dogs of Babel last night and, in novel form, it speaks of the same unswerving belief in the love and devotion of creatures. You'll love Buffy too!

Review: If you have ever loved or been loved by a special pet, then this book will touch your soul. The tale of Buffy is told so superbly that you can actually feel the love between the writer and this most amazing feline. The photographs are beautiful, and add warmth and life to the story. If this wonderful book does not bring a smile to your lips and maybe a tear or two to your eyes, then you need to check your pulse, there's a possibility that your heart has been replaced by a rock.

Philip Dattilo is Buffy's own personal and tender poet laureate, whose poetry to her is every bit as beautiful as that in the food stained Edna St. Vincent Millay book that he props Buffy's supper on every night. I wept when I read this book. It is a treasure. Buffy is a treasure. You will never forget her.

Review: This book touched my heart in such a way that anyone who has ever loved and cherished a pet would understand. The author's compassion and devotion for Buffy was so inspirational and so true of many people who love a cat. He has such a strong bond and will always have that bond , though now they are separated. The author's photographs are so touching, from when Buffy was young, to the one with her as she was older and almost on her way to heaven. I do believe that God has a special place for them and one day we who have loved and lost a cherished pet will be reunited. Thank-you Philip Dattilo for taking the time to write this wonderful book and share the special bond you have with Buffy. I know it was written from the heart and from the soul. May God heal your heart of the pain of losing Buffy and replace it with peace and take the tears away....A very well written book and I would recommend it to anyone who loves a pet.
