Summary: outstanding! but NOT a picture book...
Review: looking for a great book full of glossy pictures of the gorgeous concorde? well, THIS ISN"T IT! but this book has 300+ pages of dense text on the development of the one and only. plus many images you'd never see anywhere else: one of the full-scale plywood design mock-up, another of the different nose prototypes, etc. etc.. this book is absolutely unique, and includes descriptions of the difficulties of managing a project of "engineering of the future" between 2 countries. if you want to know how they really did design and build this plane, this is a must.
