Summary: Politics and Mountains
Review: This book provides a good history of WWII Greece during the German occupation. It explains the origins of espionage networks in Athens and, later, the formation of guerrilla bands such as EAM/ELAS. The book's main strength is its detailed coverage of timely events and politcal platforms, making clear the often complex web of powers, policies, and factions.

Personally, I would've liked more details concerning the missions, supplies, and tacticts of the guerrillas; equal parts warfare and politics, instead of the heavier slant towards the latter, especially concerning the British SOE involvement.

Overall a good book of history, politics, and foundations.
