Review: If you love history viewed through the lens of political correctness, this book is for you. If you want to see how racist and oppressive the English were, this history is for you. If you want your history served up with a lets-not-exclude-any-cultural-perceptions obsession, then this history is for you. This book is a extremely unhelpful analysis of the various cultural perceptions, gender oppressions, white colonial misdeeds and other predictable PC discussion. Perhaps this sort of thing is in vouge on college campuses today but if you want a fact based discussion of history in these regions buy Belichs excellent book. Denoon's is gobledegook.
