Rating: 5 stars
Summary: A good source of info is hard to find!
Review: Other than David Isby's "How To Fly And Fight In The F/A-18 Hornet", reference books about the US Navy's leading fighter/bomber are hard to find. Hopefully this book will be around a bit longer, or will be replaced with a better edition (preferably in hardback). In the meantime, a good simulation of the jet for the home computer is Graphic Simulation's "F/A Hornet 3.0" and its sequel "Hornet: Korea". "Hornet: Korea" comes with a very good manual that presents a pretty good idea about the jet itself (depending on the accuracy of the software in simulating the Hornet's avionics). See also "Hornets Over Kuwait" by Jay Stout, for a Marine pilot's view of the Hornet during Desert Shield/Storm. Major Stout's book deals with his experiences during that conflict and is a good read.
