Summary: A fine read and an even better education
Review: Who would have thought that the city of West Hollywood has ALWAYS been at the forefront of tolerance, human dignity, and positive community change?
I live here and didn't know it - thought that the place grew tolerant in the 70s when I moved in.
I also didn't know how important the film industry was - I thought it all happened in hollywood. The photos of the lots in WeHo were great, and also the Sunset Strip (I didn't realize that the entire Strip lay in WeHo, either).
The book was a delight to read (quite humorous for a history) and the pix were terrific. Enjoy it.
