Rating: Summary: The Only Book on the A-12? Review: This is a great book! I've been interested in Blackbird spy planes since I was a kid. I'd heard about the A-12 but I thought it was a secret Navy plane that never got built. What a surprise to find out it was really the granddaddy of the SR-71 spy plane. I learned things about the Blackbirds that I never even suspected. For instance, I never even knew there was a Blackbird drone. The book is pretty technical in places, but if you read it carefully, it all makes sense. The writing is very good, and the photos are super. I saw a few typos, but they didn't take away from the book's value in any way. I recommend it highly for people who are crazy about airplanes. You don't have to be an expert to enjoy the book, but I think aviation experts will enjoy it, too.
