Summary: Day by day account of the german paper work of killing!
Review: This book does not read to well. But what it lacks in readabilty, it makes up for in the supposed Normal paper-work of recording where the people go and where they come from. The part that gets me is in the cold way the Nazis recorded the almost daily trains from 1942 till 1945.Such as 890 jews,321 men & boys and 569 women & girls ariive with an RSHA transport from Holland. Following the selection 48 men & 52 women are admitted to the camp (gives their admit numbers) The other 790 people, including invalids and children, are killed in the gas chambers. I can only read a few pages a day. It is a very depressing read. I also believe it is a very importent read!!!! AUSCHWITZ RERESENTS THE APEX OF EVIL!! And this book proves it beyond a shodow of doubt! So if Original camp documents, admit lists, written orders from Hoss, orders for lab experiments, escape attempts and info brought out at postwar trials is what You are lookin for than this is your book!

Summary: A Crucial Work of Research
Review: This book includes no eyewitness testimonies -- it is strictly factual, basing its information on Nazi records, that is, the ones that weren't burned to hide their crimes. Danuta Czech's incredible work of sifting through the paperwork makes this an extraordinary record of the Holocaust
