Summary: the American airborne forces
Review: An absolute specialists book. You have to know the story to really understand the book. The book handles the attack of the 82nd and the 101st Airborne Divisions on Normandy. The story is mainly told by pictures with very small pieces of text. It starts out with the equipment, the units involved and finally the action itself. Especially people who are interested in the 101st Airborne Division will enjoy this book very much. Its also a real treat if you are interested in new pictures on the subject. Most of them come from private collections and have never been shown before. If you order this book order it in combination with "At the Point of No Return : Pictorial History of the American Paratroopers in the Invasion of Normandy". It's from the same writer and together they are a must for the airborne specialist
