Summary: A great read.
Review: This is one of the better sniper books out there. Although it does lack a few details here and there as far as the kill zone envirment, it is a good snipers account about training and the war, and how it changed them. Anyone who readfs this will read about others too like Hathcock, etc. There are a few stories about other snipers in there. It's funny how they all kind of blend in together. But all in all, this book is very good.
Sad ending as expected.

Summary: Action Packed Read
Review: Wow. What an interesting tour of duty; one that carried danger and at the same time, sadness and humor. This book offers readers a rare glimpse of a controversial time in America and Vietnam's history, and also a highly enigmatic profession. No wonder people are fascinated by snipers! I admire the author and appreciate this rare look into a USMC Scount Sniper's life. He is a true hero. The letters to his mother touched me.
