Summary: Book spoke too soon on Neanderthals.
Review: It claims early in the book that no one today is descended from them. All we have are a few studies of MTDNA from neanderthal fossils. Ignoring any forgery posibilities concerning these Neanderthal DNA studies all they prove is that no (or almost) no neanderthal ladies had babies by Cro-Magnon men. The reverse scenario is still possible and even more so- likely. On other bits of the book, I don't know if it should have displayed (on the cover!)a quote from Monty Python alumni Terry Jones. Jones's lack of credibilty (for at least some) will certainly lower the book's value.
