Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Good scholarship, interesting read.
Review: Intellectual historians have traditionally done a bad job at making connections between thinkers' thoughts and thinkers' environments. Kaye succeeds by pointing out economy's influence on philosphy. I am convinced.
