Rating: Summary: The Best Magna Edition Yet! Review: This was a great book but also a sad story.Jessica was being her regular selfish self, she might have came up with the idea, but Liz was the one who did all the hard work!Elizabeth deserved the title "Prom Queen" and Jessica shoudn't have taken the spotlight. It was rude and unthinkably selfish how she spiked the drinks for her own benafit. And now she should have to pay for killing Sam.Lila shouldn't have freeaked either,Nathan was just being helful!
Rating: Summary: Forget Cameron's silly account of the wreck of the Titanic. Review: "A Night to Remember" is a fascinating book and it served as the basis for a movie (same title) that has real heart and sincerity, unlike James ("I'm the King of the World") Cameron's bloated affair. Although subsequent research makes some of the information obselete, this book and this movie express the panic, the fear and the tragedy that came to thousands of people that night. The emotional power, honestly earned, is deeply touching.
Rating: Summary: it was kind of boring and yet was interesting Review: it needed more first hand accounts and was boring
Rating: Summary: This is a really great book!! Review: Once I started reading this book, I couldn't put it down! A bunch of my friends borrowed it and they loved it too!
Rating: Summary: An excellent novel Review: this book was excellent! when I first began the book it was all little hard to understand but the get to the sinking on the second page!! I love this book.
Rating: Summary: The best book I've ever read!! Review: I have been enthralled by the Titanic since I was five, and this book sums up my learnings. It portrayed the emotion that was felt on the ship as it went down and was very accurate, for the most part. I recently saw the movie that was filmed in 1959. The only large difference I noticed was how the Titanic sank. It broke as it went down and this did not happen in the book. But I love this book and it was the best book I've ever read!!!!
Rating: Summary: This book really leaves you hangin. Review: This a great book with a sad ending. Though it is good that Liz decided to be more open-minded about things and Jess being, well her regular "strong-minded" self, the rivalry should not have gotten Sam killed.
Rating: Summary: The true minute by minute story Review: The story of the "unsinkable" ship is fantastic. The real facts about the RMS Titanic. I'ts the true minute by minute story. This book gives you the feeling that you are experiencing the real thing, the freezing cold water, the sadness of the people who lost others, and knowing that you might lose your own life.
Rating: Summary: Great Review: "A Night To Remember" was an exciting, factual book. That is why I gave it 5 stars. You think that you know the story because of the movie, but if you read this, then you will know the truth. If you haven't seen the movie (which I bet you have) read the book before you see it on video.
Rating: Summary: It was the most informative book I have ever read. Review: This was the most wonderful and interesting book I have ever read. I myself am only 11 and have already read it 6 times, and the sequel 5. From beginning to end, it beautifully illustrates not only the Titanic, but the world she was created in. I do not think that James Cameron's Titanic was exceptional, and the best parts(i.e. the musicians laying down their instruments) were taken straight out of an earlier movie, A Night to Remember(wonder where THAT title came from!) Anyway, this is from a fanatic of the Titanic and a full-time literary critic(I have read Gone with the Wind 5 times in 2 years), so I should know. For anyone who is the least bit interested in the Titanic, this is un livre formidable
