Summary: I couldn't put it down
Review: I'm no Evelyn Woods speed reader, but I read this book in two nights. I just couldn't put it down! I apologize to my wife for not paying any attention to her during this time. This book had my heart pounding. As a Special Operator in AFSOC, and having spent 7 months in Saudi during Desert Storm, I could closely imagine and guess what Andy McNab went through. I wish I had read it when it first came out. Excellent read - Highly recommende

Summary: Bravo Two Zero
Review: I've read Bravo Two Zero numerous times. Its not just a book on Special Forces or the Special Air Serivce (SAS). Its a story about human survival and emotion. Andy McNab, Dinger, Stan, and the others are heros of human spirit, along with heros of a war. My hats off to the survivors, my sympathies to the ones who did not return

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Absolutely overwhelming!
Review: Finally a book about the real life of an elite soldier. Being an Infantry Lieutenant myself, I was thrilled to read Andy McNab's war experience because it not only shows what happens in combat, but also that intense training and planning are crucial. I encourage Sgt. McNab to continue to write down his experiences, every soldier can learn a lot from him

Summary: The reality of special operations
Review: The book is a tribute to all the world's special forces men,who execute the most daring missions in peace and war. It's an account of courage, stamina, motivation, hope and fear.It makes me wonder how many similar operations are kept in dark, covered by the "Top Secret"label.P. Zorzovilis

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Top stuff - the hard reality of life behind enemy lines.
Review: A chilling account of an amazing, terrifying adventure, told with remarkable frankness and dark humour. A top read! I also strongly recommend "The One That Got Away" by Chris Ryan, for a slightly different yet equally entertaining version of the events of the Bravo Two Zero mission

Summary: When everything goes wrong...
Review: A thrilling story about Special Forces operation that was doomedfrom the beginning. Firefight, evasion, capture and torture.

Summary: Great book
Review: Although it's well established that andy mcnab did exagerate some part of the story, The distance from the DOP to the LUP for instance but I must say that I beleive the majority of it. I have to say after watching the tv documentary presented by michael asher and reading michael asher's book, both titled "the real bravo two zero". I found it hard to beleive a word he said when he accepted everything the beduin said without question but I'm meant to be talking about bravo two zero.
The book is a GRIPPING read expecially the part about his horrendous torture by the iraqi's. The way he writes makes you feel like your standing next to the man himself during the mission.
It's a tale of true british heroism by an outstandingly brave group of men sent on an impossible mission.

Rating: 1 stars
Summary: mainly good fiction!
Review: Yes, a lot of the book is based on fact but Mc Nab makes himself out to be a rambo for the sake of a good read! 250 iraqis killed, eh? Neat fiction.I'm amazed so many people are gullible enough to believe the guy. Read, 'The real bravo two zero' for an unbiased, accurate account of the mission if you're interested. Personaly,I think the author does his former regiment a massive disservice, and sullies the name of those who died, in order to make himself into some kind of 'hero.'Funny how the 'heroics' in his book aren't included in his offical debrief. The man is a joke among the SAS.How can the guy get away with it!? Don't waste your money!
