Rating: 4 stars
Summary: mental toughness triumphs through adversity.
Review: life or death making decisions are accepted by precious few, the physical demands of 'selection' are merely a yard stick for what might be required. when put to the test it is usually the efforts of a few who make great strides possible for many. refreshingly well written without too much hindsight figured into good or bad decisions made at the time.

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: A partial dissenter, I found the last part boring
Review: The first half of the book, on the preparation and attempted execution of the mission, is great. I personally found the last half that began with his capture to be repetitious and skippable. (This is not, of course, to take anything away from his bravery, endurance etc.) Immediate Action was a much more interesting (and 5 star) book.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: A REAL FEEL FOR THE FEAR OF BEHIND ENEMY LINES
Review: I read this book when it first came out in Great Britain. Any person interested in special forces must read this one. I read the entire book in three days. Like one of the other customes said...Don't have anything important to do when you first open this book!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Everyone MUST read this book!
Review: This book was pretty much required reading during my Basic Infantry Training. Very compelling and emotional. Everyone i've recommended it to has loved it as well.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Non stop REAL action
Review: This is by far one of the best books I have ever read. It gives real credit to those that didn't make the nightly news. I have worked with the Brits before while deployed and this book gives me a whole new outlook on them. I salute the men of Bravo Two Zero and the rest of the Fighting Brits.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: They can break you physically but not mentally
Review: Andy McNab's account of an SAS patrol behind enemy lines in Iraq was astounding, to put it mildly! Through the whole book I asked myself the question, 'What would I do if I were in that situation?' The courage and endurance of these men is to be admired. You just see how gruesome war really is and how fellow human beings can be so torturous and inhumane.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: The most amazing book I've ever read
Review: When I finished reading this book, I was emotionally drained. The writing style of Andy McNab is very matter-of-fact but at the same time extremely powerful. I felt I went through every emotion while riding this rollercoaster of a story. The mental toughness of the author struck me throughout, making me feel quite insignificant by comparison. An incredible tale of how the human spirit can rise above all. Buy it!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Absolutely Brilliant
Review: What can I say? Magnificent story telling on Mcnabs part, could not put it down. They really are the final option when it comes to getting things done.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Very credible account of the Escape & Evasion - and torture!
Review: Andy takes you through the patrol's preperations and planning - and the lack of it! The story is a Lesson Learned the hard way - and all Special Operations and Recon-units can learn from too!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: I really like this book! Just excellent!
Review: Very interesting book. I own it myself. I just love it!!!
