Summary: Simply put, raw
Review: McNab discusses in great detail his mission in the in the hell hole, IRAQ, and proves the British do have some hard hitting blokes and not just a load of tea sipping wimps. It's an excellent read to distinguish between the highly known about American SpecOps and the not so known about British SpecOps, the Special Air Service SAS. The regiment is on the same rong as the US's Navy Seals, and should gain the respect of such after one's reading of this book. An easy read as well, it being over 400 pages, I read it in only five days. If you want to hear some positive stories of war, especially for the good guys, pick this up. These were the blokes that stopped the Iraqis from firing any more SCUD missiles at Israel. True heroes, more people should know about the regiments deployment in this very important war.

Summary: Incredible True Story
Review: I read this book about five years ago and could not put it down, and I don't really read that much. I forgot who I loaned the book to, and I just bought it again from amazon. It is an insanely gripping true story that made me really understand how incredible the endurance of the human body is, and how brave these SAS guys are. You will be amazed, and you will respect them!

Summary: Intriguing, fascinating and darkly funny
Review: This is without doubt one of the best books i have ever had the pleasure to read. It has a fascinating plot, larger than life characters and made me laugh and cry out loud on several occaisions. What improves it even more is that this is no fictional story, the entire thing is real life. You almost feel like an honoury member of the SAS journeying with these immensely brave and down to earth men, into an unknown fate. It is an incredible story and one i shall never forget. It has made me respect these people and has given me the chance to give a little back to a man who gave so much.

Summary: If you have any interest in Special Operations read this
Review: As a former US Special Forces soldier, I read this book realizing that special operation isn't much different the world over. Given almost impossible missions, over-loaded with gear a pack mule couldn't carry, and dumped behind enemy lines with only a vague plan for exfiltration. An American team from 5th Special Forces Group ran into the same situation as McNab's team and barely escaped with their lives. A couple of books I would recommend for entertainment, even though they're fiction, are Bob Mayer's series on special forces. He's a former green beret also and his stories are very close to the truth.

Summary: Excellent.
Review: One of the best books I've ever read. Totally proves how tough these SAS guys really are (Andy McNab is definitely one tough bloke!)

Definitely one of McNab's best so far, and also one of the best SAS books in general yet.

Summary: Out Of The Black, And Into The Light
Review: Here is a small pinhloe into the secret operations of the SAS, well done by Mr. McNab. The book is absolutely spellbinding, and puts you there in the drivers seat of raids done behind enemy lines. For soldiers in the know like myself, the incredible rigors of our realistic training come to light in the desparate mission to escape--and THEN survive. This is very important for those who have never been in the military should know. As an ex-member of the Long Range Recon Patrol, I tip my hat to all the SAS, and SBS people I've been lucky to come in contact with. It's about time a modern war story like this was revealed to the public, and told well.

Summary: aaare mate this is a pritty boss book
Review: THIS BOOK ON THE WHOLE IS BOSS ALTHOUGH SOMETIMES ITS A BIT BORING. ANDY MCNAB IS TOTALLY ROCK,I WOULD OF GIVEN IT 5 STARS BUT I KEPT ON GETTING MIXED UP WITH WHO WAS ALIVE AND WHO WAS DEAD ,WHICH ANNOYED ME A LITTLE , BUT ON THE WHOLE IT WAS PURE.

Summary: Ineresting - but not quite what I expected...
Review: So they go in, destroy some scuds, kill some Iraqi's, and mostly escape, right? Wrong. They go in, get spotted, run away, get shot or caught, and spend the rest of the war getting abused by their jailors. So it wasn't quite the story I was expecting. Disappointed. Nevertheless, worthwhile reading. Interesting to read about their methods, and admittedly, they ARE mega-tough professionals.

Summary: I don't know how could take it
Review: I am only twelwe years old but i do understand that he must had a horrible time in the prison

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: A trurly believable account of real war and real war heros.
Review: The British SAS were always known as the best, and this book along with "Immediate Action" tells you why.

If it were not for these soldiers, I would worry for the safety of the world against such committed enemies.

Let's not forget the achievement of Chris Ryan (The One that got away) - he will remain an icon to any soldier.
