Summary: For the Love of a Better Book
Review: Omar Tyree really should not attempt to write sequels. Let well enough alone.

Rating: 1 stars
Summary: Leave Well Enough Alone
Review: I had a very hard time reading this sequel to Flyy Girl. When I finished reading Flyy Girl. I closed the book laughing and crying at the same time. By the time I finished the novel I felt as if I grew up with Tracy and her friends and family. There were lessons taught in the book. For The Love Of Money did NOTHING for me. I found myself putting down the book every few pages. I had NO emotional connection with any of the characters. I even found it hard to remember some names. This sequel was very empty. So much more could have been done with Tracy's evolvement into womanhood. Omar should have just either thought about it more. Or simply left well enough alone. (The repeated reference to himself in the novel was at an annoying level all by itself.)

Summary: thw worse (mark in Philly)
Review: yo, this book was the worse piece of garbage I have ever read. the people who gave this 4 and five stars must not read anything other than the back of the cereal box or hair magazines. how in the hell did he get that thing publsihed. I would put some real money on my 11-year-old nieces poetry over what was in that book. i was laughing out loud reading the other reviews because i did the same thing, i threw that book on the floor at least twice before I got to the end (i did finish though) he needs to take a writing class and start over again. there is too much competition out there right now with black books for him to be coming like that.(haha)

Summary: A Disappointment
Review: I felt that this sequel was a waste of time. It was well written, but failed to keep my attention. I think it was a poor sequel. It failed to provide any exciting action. Yeah, she grew up and all, but omar should have added some action packed scenes to keep the reader interested. I read flyy girl about 6 or 7 yrs ago when i was in junior high school and it took me about a day and a half to read, because it was filled with action. This book took me about three weeks, because i was very uninterested. And to top it off, the ending made me even more upset. The point of a novel is to keep the reader interested and/or teach a lesson. This book did teach a lesson but it did not keep my interest. I think Omar sould have incorporated more incidents of racism, sexism, etc.

Summary: Not Disappointed
Review: When I finished Flyy Girl, I couldn't wait for the next sequel to Tracy's life. Upon finishing this sequel I found the words as alive as Flyy girl. Omar kept Tracy's character true to what made her raw and special, what made us love and hate her and yet respect her. She was strong and I think every reader saw a little Tracy in them. But as a reader who was reading the sequel at the same age as Tracy was telling it, I was like GO HEAD GIRL - get yours. There were sections that were unrealistic, but all in all the story was true. Omar answered all my questions, I wasn't left hanging and I felt her (Tracy's) spirit once again.

I love reading about strong people who work hard to use their talent. They don't just sit and wait for something to happen and that is what Tracy did. She went to school, she used her intuition and she networked. She didn't sacrifice her talent or her dream - she went for it. And for that, she was a motivator to me; her character was a bit of motivation to keep me going on my path.

Reading Flyy Girl made me nostalgic for the good' ol days - my youth, Reading For the Love of money - made me realize how much Tracy had grown, how much I had grown and for that - this book was as great as the first.

Summary: What Happened?
Review: Now I'd like to consider myself an Omar Tyree fan, but For the Love of Money and his latest offering, Just Say No!, were way below par. I hope his subsequent books are a better representation of his earlier works.

Summary: 0 Stars
Review: I wish I could give 0 stars. One is giving Mr. Tyree too much credit. Flyy Girl was the bomb! What happened? It's so ironic that Tracy went from behing a "flyy girl" to a superstar. That is so unrealistic! And how do you go from being a ho to such a well respected actress? This book was the biggest bunch of garbage. The poems were wack and I'm sorry I wasted my money on a book I've only read 100 pages of.

Summary: Great book!!
Review: I disagree with the previous reviewers. I thought the book was as good as Flyy Girl. I especially loved the incorporation of poetry throughout the book.

Tracy was not boring as an adult; she just grew up! She even motivated me to continue pursuing my goals, because life is what you make it!

Summary: I was disappointed...
Review: This book was suppose to be the sequel to Flyy Girl. I was really looking forward to reading a good book, but For The Love Of Money was truly a BIG disappointment. Giving this novel two stars is probably over rating it! REALLY! I read this book in spurs. It took almost a month to finish it......B-O-R-I-N-G!

Rating: 1 stars
Summary: TERRIBLE
Review: THIS HAS TO BE THE MOST UNREALISTIC, POORLY WRITTEN, BOOK I'VE EVER READ! ONE STAR WAS TOO MUCH!
