Summary: UNSATISFACTORY
Review: BASICALLY I AGREE WITH ALL THE OTHER POOR REVIEW'S, AUTHOR MENTIONED HIMSELF TOO MUCH, TRACY WAS A SELF CENTERED AWFUL EXCUSE OF A BLACK WOMEN, I CONTINUED TO READ THE BOOK HOPING FOR A SUPRIZE ENDING, OR ANYTHING, I'LL GO BACK TO READING TONI MORRISON , HOWEVER FLYY GIRL WASN'T BAD, THOUGH TRACY'S BIG HEAD WAS ANNOYING

Summary: Time marches on.
Review: For me, FOR THE LOVE OF MONEY was not supposed to be FLYY GIRL II. It was exactly what it was intended to be, and that was the continuation of Tracey Ellison. Choosing to leave the backstabbing, lying, and manipulating behind and by wanting more out of her life than to be just the standard, Tracey decides to enroll in college to further her education to make it in the arena that masters in her former traits listed before...Hollywood, CA. Following her trek, she meet her share of hustlers and game players in the name of the almighty dollar, until she realizes that if she wants to make her mark as a serious player, she may need to revert a little to get what she wants. Victor returns as a method of closure for Tracey in a fashion that opens her eyes as to the man she didn't want to believe he could be. Reality can be a cruel but necessary friend. For anyone out there who want a repeat of FLYY GIRL, then keep your money in your pocket, because this book is not for you. If you want to read of a girl willing to own up to her past transgressions in order to create a better future, then this is the book for you.

Summary: Really Really Bad!!!!!!!!!!
Review: Okay I usually don't write reviews for books but I had to save somebody from buying this book. First of I loved flyy girl but this book was so boring. First of Tracy goes to holly wood and supposedly comes famous unrealistically fast. It doesn't tell you what happens to any of the other characters of the book like Carmen, Bruce, and Timmy. Rahemma is only mentioned once or twice and tracy is the same selfish spoiled 15 year old only not as interesting. Tracy only see's victor once and they're not together they don't even get any closure. Also Omar throws in lame poetry that isn't deeper than an episode of sesame street and mentions his self too many times. It seems like omar wrote this book while he was high. If you had to find out what happened to tracy get this book from the libray do not waste yo money or yo time.

Summary: Changing a Previous Review
Review: I originally reviewed this book in December of 2000... I got the opportunity to read over that review today and realized that I completely lied! This was probably one of the worst books I have ever read in the genre of African American books.. This book was beyond boring and had too much of an unrealistic plot... Tracy had yet to grow up and was still acting as an immature, selfish brat! I wouldn't waste my time, energy or money buying this book (and to think I bought the book when it was hardback!) And while we are on the topic of Tracy, Flyy Girl is a book that will seem good to you as a young teenager, and I guess the plot of the book is okay but as an older teen/adult you will too realize this book was horribly written. ...

I apologize for my previous review and anyone I may have caused to buy that terrible book! I chalk that up to being young and dumb...

Summary: Unexpected
Review: This book did not live up to the expectations of Flyy Girl. My biggest problem was the alternating between one chapter in 1996 and the next chapter set in 2000 was a bit nerve wrecking. Then the author kept mentioning HIS name over too many times. Very dissappointed.

Summary: GO Tracy
Review: although, FOR THE LOVE OF MONEY wasn't as good as Flyy Girl, i still give it four STARRS because now tracy is taking control in her life as has realized that sex isn't everything like she thought in her teenage years. Her parents stay together, she meets new people, and she discoves new things. Tracy'll do ALMOST, i repeat, ALMOST anything FOR THE LOVE OF MONEY.

Summary: HATED IT!!!
Review: what the hell was Omar Tyree thinking when he wrote this! This was nothing like the first book. It was boring and corny and I only finished it because I don't like to start a book and not finish it. I suggest he gets focused the next time he decides to write a sequel.

Rating: 1 stars
Summary: This Book [is bad]!
Review: I wish I could find Omar Tyree, so I could hit him upside the head with this book and ask him for my money back. HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE!! It moves so slowly, back and forth every other chapter between the character's life at one point in one chapter, to another point in her life maybe 5 years later in the next chapter. It got confusing and stupid, so I gave up after a few chapters. I just couldn't give this book a chance. It was so bad... that I don't think I'll ever buy another one of Omar Tyree's book again.

Rating: 1 stars
Summary: Waste of Money
Review: What a waste of time and money. The book was ok at the begining, I thought the book was going to show how Tracy grew and followed her dream. I was very disappointed with this one. Could have saved the money.
