Summary: For The Love Of Money
Review: I agree the book was well written. I'm inclined to believe that many of the readers aren't used to quality work. They are so hooked on all the drama. I'm sorry to say but far too many of these contemporary novels are written like Black expoliation movies, sheer foolishness. I've read several books by this author, unlike others he discusses various issues. This book for the Love of Money is not formula fiction. I love books that entertain, as well as a well written book. Come on people likes take literature more seriously, and recognize talent when we see it.

Summary: Just Knew It
Review: I just knew this was going to be another bad book. I can't understand how this man gets publised,all his books are horrible.This book had alot of people waiting to see what happens to Tracy. But this book could have been so much better than it was it's not even funny. She kept saying it was soooo hard for her to make it, when everything was damn there handed to her. The way the book ended, it had me in a uproar. I'm just mad I spent $20 something for it. When I could have gotten a good book.

Review: I just had the funny feeling this was going to be a bad novel. It's bad to say but I hate Omar Tyree as a writter. All his books are too dragged out, I only bought this one becase I read Flyy Girl. And once again I was dissapointed, this book could have been so much more.

Summary: Utterly Disgusted!!!!
Review: I was so amped about buying For The Love of Money because I thought Flyy Girl had to be one of the best books that I have ever read. After about a month or so of reading I am still struggling to finish. What happened Omar? What happened to the creativity, the realism, and most importantly... the plot? Unfortunately, this did not come as a surprise because many of Omar Tyree's book seem to lack the fire of his first novel. Each one gradually gets worse. I am disappointed with Single Mom, A Do Right Man, and For the Love of Money. I'm glad I borrowed a lot of these books because I would be highly upset if I had spent my own money. In conclusion, as a philly native I was hoping to show pride in the works of a neighbor. However, you have not only disappointed many of your Philadelphia fans, but nationwide fans. Maybe its time to rekindle that creative fire that you once had when you wrote Flyy Girl. You should really try something, because writing novels like this is and getting credibility from calling it a sequel will soon catch up to you.P.S- I hated the story line, and the poetry was unbearable.

Summary: I liked it ... so shoot me !
Review: Contrary to the other reviews, I enjoyed the book. I was relieved to find out that Tracy and Victor did not get back together. I liked the Tracy focused on her goals instead of being on a sole mission to get a man. More women need to become focused like that in real life instead of depending on a man for validation and material possesions. The book also showed that although Tracy felt lonely and wanted a good man , she refused to act desperate in order to have one. As an owner of a first edition copy of Flyy Girl, I believe that Mr Tyree stayed true to Tracy's character while maturing her into an adult with wisdom.

Review: I read several of the other reviews and I would like to say that people don't always like change and I feel that some of them were to critical!! This is a great book and it was well writen. It gave me good insight into Hollywood and getting into the business of film making. I think all of these critics need to go and write there own book and see how well it does. I think not enought people tried to relate to the book

Review: I thought this book was horrendous. Fly Girl was a wonderful book, but this one was absolutely ridiculous. I wish I could get my money back. Now it seems like your just writing for the money. What were you thinking? Obviously, you weren't thinking about your work. Maybe you should take a vacation, I think you have a bad case of writers block.

Summary: Buyer Beware!!!
Review: "For the love of money is okay, but I must agree with the readers that the pitch to make Fly Girl a movie and reference to himself was rather arrogant. Allow the readers to put the pressure on hollywood if that what they want. My biggest comment is the poetry that was reflected in the book. As a poet, I am the first to realize that poetry is truly subjective. But the poetry in the book was BAD!!!!. I love the idea of blending poetry with the storyline, however, there needs to be a balance. The poetry itself would not stand up to the critical audiences of Chicago. Omar, it is a blessing to be able to sell books on your name, now give us what you are capable of. Your books have diminished in quality.

Review: This book was not good at all. I don't like anything about this book except the fact that Tracy had grown up and that her and Raheema were still friends after all these years. This book just did not hold my attention. Like for instance one part in the book when Tracy went into the mall and this salesgirl and her just clicked and Tracy said that she was going to help her out. I was waiting on her to help her out. I'm mad that I spent $20 on this book. I could have been ALOT better. I wish that I could give a half star. Sorry Omar.

Review: I am a fan of Omar but I was very disappointed in this book. It was very hard to read, and the story was very choppy. I really expected more, since Flyy Girl was wonderful.
