Summary: An Afrocentric "Feel-Good" Work of Fiction
Review: A classic politically correct fable to bolster the self-esteem of a people that never mastered the use of the wheel until it was introduced to them a few hundred years ago. It tells how the black man had his civilization stolen from him by the white man. Anti-Semitic, Anti-White, it tells how the ancient civilizations of the Mid-East were the product of the black man. They neglect the fact that many Egyptian mummies had blonde and red hair and that only Asians, Semites, and Indo-Europeans ever built a civilization.To the credit of Afrocentrics, when sufficient numbers of Nubian slaves were used in Egypt, racial strife boiled over. A mixed Pharoah named Taharka of possibly mixed Nubian ancestry reigned. This marked the collapse of the New Kingdom and decline of Egyptian civilization. Afterwards, Egypt remained an insignificant colonial nation of various powers from 1100 B.C. to 1952 A.D.

Summary: A "Must Read" for all Afro-Americans
Review: Chancellor Williams does an excellent job of not only identifying the issues that we have endured as a people but he leaves you with something unique..... An Answer. How often have you read a book telling us about all the problems in Black America and abroad but then leave you with a feeling of " O.K. what do we do about it?" Well this book does just the opposite. You are left with viable solutions. A most-excellent book!!

Review: Did you know that Africans invented writing? That they invented democracy? Human rights? The Ten Commandments? The Social Welfare State? Prescription drug coverage? Urban Engineering? Aeronautics? All this and more...in fact, EVERYTHING?
Yes! It's true! The Chancellor says so! And the only reason you didn't know about all this before Chancellor Williams' scholarship is entirely the fault of...THE WHITE MAN!!! (OK, that one was easy....)
So clear a spot on the floor, twist open a Forty or fire up a blunt, flip through "Destruction of Black Civilization," and laugh your ... off at all these inventions!

Review: I really enjoyed this book.Finally someone got it right.Black history has always been told by whites with an axe to grind.They always feel that the truth will empower blacks so they resort to calling black-skinned people white,if they created a great civilization.Mr Williams told it like it is.We can see even now that mulattos are replacing blacks just like they did in Egypt,the Sudan and many other places.he shows how mulattos turn against blacks and identify with whites as he points out in the book.He does contradict himself sometimes but it does'nt take away from the historical accuracy of the book.Black culture is always being destroyed because blacks dont seem to be as interested in preserving it as whites do.

Summary: A Must Read!!
Review: If you haven't read this book, and you think you know African history - you're probably wrong. Chancellor Williams' work is an excellent, disturbing, must-read text for African Americans. It details the glories, and discusses the mistakes in black cultures that led to their present status. If you didn't know that African cultures have always been rather open, if you don't know how cultures that develop technology first end up being technologically backward, if you don't understand the real relationship among African, Arab, Semitic, and European cultures, you need to read this book. Williams' work seeks to challenge every pre-existing concept you had on what it means to be African. You will learn that much of what African Americans believe to be Afro-centric nationalism is based on a lack of knowledge. You will see recurrent themes that exist today both in modern African society, and in African American society. Finally, you will learn that AA cultural destruction is due to contributory negligence as well as outside interference. This book was responsible for my personal growth from '60s black nationalist racism, to multi-cultural awareness. It forced me to ask myself - if my people have always been open to other races, why does being "black" demand otherwise? Perhaps it will help ou on your journey as well.

Summary: "Feel Good" feelings belie historical facts and realities
Review: Interesting, the rewriting and revising of history to that of a "grand" past to justify "self esteem" in the present; when the present realities (the "present" being defined as in the last thousand years up to this modern day) and historical facts belie the truth of so-called African History and Peoples, today. Over and over and over again again and again, etc., etc., etc., history et al does not bode well for Africa and the Africans ... and it is not by any inferior aspect (though it seems that African/ Black revisionists seem to be struggling with that "complex" by rewriting a Grand and so-called noble past)... but by cultural attitude(s), perspective(s), and practices, that continued well past the time other peoples (Europeans, Semitics, Asians, etc.,), except for, arguably, Ameri-Indians of the Americas (north, central, and south), moved and evolved away from those norms; NOT by "racial genetics", as construed by racists of all peoples, but by societal changes in outlooks concerning right, wrong, science, religion, moral and stands of behavior, laws, etc., etc.,

Summary: Reply to John Q
Review: John Q made the observation that many Egyptian mummies have blonde or red hair. What he did not state is that THOSE ARE NOT THE MUMMIFIED BODIES OF ORIGINAL EGYPTIANS. THEY ARE MUMMIFIED BODIES OF WHITE ROMANS WHO INVADED EGYPT AND IMPOSED THEIR RULE ON BLACK EGYPT. The Roman pharaohs engaged in Egyptian religious practices to validate themselves to the Egyptians. The Roman Pharaohs continued the Egyptian tradition of claiming divinity of rulers, so there would not be any revolts. John Q is one of those people who are terrified of the idea that Blacks contributed to civilization in any way. I doubt that John Q even read this book at all. This book is one of the most insightful books I have ever read. However, it does not fully address the fact that African traitors originally sold slaves to Arabians and Europeans. The problem of BLACKS AGAINST BLACKS must be addressed and solved.

Summary: GREEK PHILOSOPY COMES FROM EGYPT!
Review: Like It or not the Greeks themselves studied In egypt .Now I am not saying they stole anything but they borrowed Ideals from them.Math,Science and writing were In egypt long before greece came Into being.This Is a good book even though at times, the author may contradict himself.The only dark age Is one where we fear truth, and If It does not matter who did what first then why should we get jumpy when certain individuals say what a lot of people don't want to hear.
