Rating: Summary: Fair and Balanced -- No Spin Review: Great book. Read it. You'll be glad.
Rating: Summary: O'Reilly Telling it like it is Review: O'Reilly's books are always a great read. I really enjoyed his views on religion in the U.S. Don't listen to all these Lefties posting on here. It's obvious they haven't read the book and are just trying to lower O'Reilly's rating on Amazon.
Rating: Summary: the hateful book reviewers are not looking out for you Review: The mean-spirited book reviewers who are giving 1 or 0 stars are the very people you need to look out for, and the very reason why Bill wrote this book in the first place. The irony is hillarious...no, wait, it's SHAMELESS..F'ing SHAMELESS. This book is insightful, witty, and user-friendly for those looking to better themselves, and looking to avoid those who prey on others to get ahead.
Rating: Summary: Glad you Asked! Review: President Gerald Ford once said "A government big enough to give you everything you want is a government big enough to take from you everything you have." Bill O'Reilly, in his latest book, asks a compelling question, and provides enough solid evidence to convince the average American, no matter what his political persuasion, that we cannot put our trust in man or in government or in the media. So who do we trust? Not Bill, although he writes a great book. For the answer, just flip a penny over and read for yourself.
Rating: Summary: "Open minded" liberals can't bear to read this book Review: Look at all these one-star reviews from people who didn't even read the book. Clearly, liberals can't handle the truth so they attack the book and the man since we all know that they're just haters anyways. But this is the reason why Democrats in general aren't taken seriously anymore. Who wants to listen to their constant whining and backbiting? In his book, O'Reilly advocates that you take responsiblity for your own actions, in contrast to the current practice of victimhood practiced by the Democratic party. I think O'Reilly should donate part of the proceeds to pay for diapers and rattles, so we can take care of the adults known as liberals who cry like babies at the thought of Fox News. Thank you Bill O'Reilly for proving that real men still exist in this country, in contrast to a pouting dufus such as Al Franken.
Rating: Summary: Nothing new but spin, spin, spin! Review: Good writing by an intelligent and rational thinker who just happens to be wrong only slightly less often than Rush, but hey, its still all spin for the right, spin for Bush, spin for the sake of spin, and then deny, deny, deny. Fun, but not to be taken seriously.
Rating: Summary: A Reasonable Look at the World Review: A very well written book by one of the best political commentators. After reading a lot of the reviews one might think O'Reilly is just another Sean Hannity or Ann Coulter. Nothing could be further from the truth. In spite of what many liberals think, O'Reilly really isn't that conservative. I would say he's right of center, but not as far right as one might think. In fact, many right wingers find him to be too liberal. For example, in his previous books he is quite critical of Reagan, but he praises Carter for his great works as an ex-president. He says that people like RFK and JFK are two of his heroes. He supports domestic partnership laws for gays, but not outright gay marriage. That actually puts him to the left of Bill Clinton and most of the Democrats in the Senate and house. He even supports affirmative action so long as it's based on economics and not race. The fact that he was critical of Clinton's behavior during the Lewinsky scandal, supported the war in Iraq, and is critical of the INS, doesn't make him a conservative. He has been all over Jesse Jackson, but so have a lot of people from all political perspectives. He's been quite critical of people like Rush Limbaugh and other right wing talk show hosts for being too dogmatic. He was all over Gov. Jeb Bush for the problems with missing children in Florida. While he works for Fox News, so do people like Alan Colmes and Dick Morris. Perhaps a few of these liberals should watch O'Reilly's show once in a while before lumping him in with right wingers like Michale Savage and Ann Coulter.
Rating: Summary: There is nothing new in the book Review: There is nothing new in the book which you haven't heard on his tv show
Rating: Summary: being loud does not equate to being knowledgeable Review: o'reilly is one of the first of the the loud mouth entertaiment-style FOX NEWS analysts. these folks are to political debate what jerry springer is to sociological discussion. like with springer though, simpletons love this stuff. it has almost the same entertaiment value as WWF, but it makes ya feel all smart and stuff. truth is though... o'reilly's quest for ratings (FOX) and sales (books) comes at the expense of the country. the anti liberal rantings get the right all fired up against the left. then the left gets all fired up over being called names by the right. then we all end up hating each other over BS partisan politics. the truth is, we all have to live in this country together as americans. so how about we concentrate more on the stuff we agree on, and let democracy determine the course on the other stuff (ie: voting, popular opinion).
Rating: Summary: Liberals Beware Review: This is another good book by a man who tells it how it is and does not take crap from the left.
