Rating: Summary: Al Franken's Book Depicts Him More Accurately Review: Read "Lies, and the Lying Liars that Tell Them." That book really digs into O'Reilly's statements and finds the truth. I read Al Franken's book first and it makes reading Bill O'Reilly much more fun. O'Reilly's book is inherently comical, but not entertaining unless you read the truth from Al Franken first.
Rating: Summary: Makes you think. Review: Bill O'Reilly gives great advice. Points out many errors in society. He makes you think. Who is looking out for me? I like how he gives examples of mistakes he his make in his own life, and how they have made him a better person. My favorite quote from his book "We are all born with a natural talent, but we must tap into it with a vengeance in order to reach our full potential." (page 188) Yes, He is arragont and he holds people accountable. This is part of what makes him unique.
Rating: Summary: Waste of Money Review: Bill is so stuck on himself, this book just stinks. I dont believe hes being truthful about many things in this book. I question even his so called college degreeeees!
Rating: Summary: Sam's Mother Review: I wrote my son's story called "Sam's Fight For Justice" and agree with Mr. Bill O'Reilly that their is know one who truly looks out for us as American's or are children it hurts to make this comment because my father served this country for over Thirty Years WW2 Korea and three tours Vietnam and my son Sam's Father is also a Vietnam Veteran, but none the less this is still a true statement, and we as Americans need to come together and stand up for our childrens rights to a safe Education.
Rating: Summary: This man should not write books !!! Review: Poorly written, shallow, and extremely biased. I guess anyone can get published these days. Don't waste your time on this one.
Rating: Summary: Terrible! Review: I think my heading sums up the review of this book. It is TERRIBLE! Very poorly written and full of unsubstantiated information.
Rating: Summary: Splotchy Review: This guy's book is guaranteed to put you in a bad mood! He has goofy circular logic that is maddening, he uses innuendo instead of facts, and he exaggerates. And he is splotchy!
Rating: Summary: Response to criticism from a random observer Review: First of all I would like to state that I have only read the preceeding advertised one paragraph review of this controvesial book. I have had some other encounters with Mr. O'Reilly's TV show and column, however I still feel qualified to defend it from the negative? comments prior. These reviewers both refer to the fact? that Mr. O'Reilly is not an accepted? "Trained Thinker" or degree gifted? "journalist". They both give the impression that they not only feel competent to judge O'Reilly's Un-Trained Thinkingness but also fall prey to the same kind simplistic name calling so decried by people who hold opposing? views to O'Reilly's /fans. Namely me. Perhaps one day "Big Skinny Idiot"ism will be all the rage or maybe Corny Insults and Fractured Sentence Structuralism will previal. If it does I hope I can't figure out which is which.
Rating: Summary: o'reilly Review: Unfortunately, this book has gotten a bad rep from some lesser-educated individuals -- or people trying to feign stupidity for laughs (M. Gilbert and the guy with a personality disorder) -- either way, their comments may unjustly turn people off from the book, so i feel the need to rectify them, or at least try to... o'reilly is certainly not a liberal or a conservative, he isn't racist or anti-Semetic at all (where the heck did anti-semetism come into this), and is tolerant of people of [either]sexuality, going as far as to defend homosexuals. also, o'reilly has a degree in journalism from boston university (i think) and an emmy for a story he did on skyjacking...
Rating: Summary: Bill O'Reilly is a Big, Skinny Idiot Review: I am glad to say that I did not spend any of my own hard earned $$ getting access to this book, but rather read it in the bookstore. Bill O'Reilly is not a trained thinker nor an intellect....he is merely a conservative person who is racist, anti-Semitic and homophobic. He is a clever marketer and self-promoter who assumes that his worldly success confers God's seal of approval upon him.
