Summary: O'Reilly is on NEITHER side!!
Review: Okay, I am tired of everyone calling him conservative. He is a LIBERTARIAN! He is neither liberal nor conservative. I have read his book and he attacks BOTH SIDES, not just the left. The people who hate him probably only watch the show. As for his facts, they are in part right. I think this should be REQUIRED reading for both sides because he attacks both. He thinks Bush did "OK" as President but could've done better, as do I. He hates Politicians. Plain and simple and exposes all of them, no matter what side. If you're a DEMOCRAT or REPUBLICAN, please read this book. It exposes both parties. Just because he is more conservative in terms of how our government should be run, it doesn't mean he doesn't put out good ideas.

Summary: No Question Bill's Best Yet
Review: It's sad to see all these one star rateings. It is also sad to see how many American despise Bill. He is unafraid and strong he confronts those whom nobody else has the gutts to face and ask the tuff hard hitting questions. Now he was showing all of us who read his book, a way to pick the good from the bad. Come on America we should all buy this book and make it required reading in our house holds. Bill if your reading this thank you.

Review: If he wasn't so full of himself it might be a bit easier to read. But I really just don't like his style much. I honestly gave this book a chance but couldn't stomach it.

Summary: Condescension & Arrogance - the Usual O'Reilly Factors
Review: Has anyone noticed how books written by dogmatists like O'Reilly cater to those who can't make up their own minds... how they need him to "spoonfeed" all of his opinions to them, so that they know what to think? How sweet of O'Reilly to unselfishly spell it all out for those who need this "father figure" to remind them that without him, they wouldn't have anyone to look out for them!! DON'T BELIEVE IT FOR A MINUTE. The diatribes of this self-serving hot air balloon are designed to give you only one side of the story. Certainly DON'T BUY this "display of arrogance" masquerading as a book - borrow it from the library - better yet, skim it while you're there. It's such light reading, you can cover all his barely-researched opinions in about 2 hours. Would you like to read the literate writings of those who HAVE done their research and truly ARE looking out for you? Then I recommend the following: The Great Unraveling: Losing Our Way in the New Century by Paul Krugman OR Big Lies: The Right-Wing Propaganda Machine and How It Distorts the Truth by Joe Conason.

Review: Don't believe the unsubstantiated name calling, labeling and spinmonkeys. Don't let the hatemongers scare you off. Bill really has great advice and clear thinking for all of us. Find out the truth. See how he is an independant thinker and loyal to you. An easy read that could change your life for the better.

Summary: Why Does Bill O'reilly Scare the Left so much???
Review: Perhaps because he appeals to so many of them... Here is someone who challenges Jesse Jackson for his marital and financial malfeasance, yet at the same time supports gun control and opposes the death penalty. In his book, "Dude, where's my country," Michael Moore praises Bill for his grounded sensibilities and occasional left wing posture. Why would those on the far left (or the far right for that matter) hate someone like O'Reilly???... Well, he appeals to the moderate in all of us, and exposes the simplistic views of both extremes in this country for what they are... i.e. idiotic. Chose populist commentators like Bill O'Reilly over elitists America haters like Noam Chomsky or racist liars like Rush Limbaugh!!!

Review: Bill OReiley is on TV on the FACTOR. He has many guests on his show and he talks to them and he makes jokes to them.He also has a TEMPER. THATS WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU LIE TO HIM. YOU GET SMACKED DOWN!!!!!!!! Who's looking out for you is Bills book to show that you can be a success if you work hard. you have to stay away from liars and burgalers. DON'T DO DRUGS. I liked this book.

Summary: Who's Looking Out for You?
Review: The title of this book alone is warning enough of the pretentious finger-wagging contained within. While O'Reilly was once able to present himself as an [almost, maybe if you squint] independant attacker of the higher ups, and also able to claim the position of the US's most powerful political commentator, those days are long gone. Any vague sense of balanced thought has fled in favor of O'Reilly chasing his own personal agendas - in turn, he has made himself appear the fool [can you say "Peabody"? Or, better yet, "*Two* Peabody's"?] on many occassions, and in continuing petty personal vendettas has greatly diminished his own credibility.This book, as has been said, is more personal in tone. True, it is. But the message behind that personal tone, including the title and more relaxed photo of Bill on the cover, is to my mind in direct retaliation to his recent image problems. Bill comes across very poorly in Al Franken's 'Lying Liars', and this seems a strained attempt to show himself in more flattering light. Unfortunate, then, that it is so blatantly superficial. There is no substance here. From an O'Reilly book you would expect food for thought; this particular offering is starved of any. To conservatives and liberals alike, my advice is for you is to not bother with this book. To use "more of the same" would be false - it's actually a watered-down, tepid version of the same.

Review: I READ THIS BOOK AND WAS DISGUSTED. O'REILLY HAS ONLY ONE GOAL AND THAT IS TO MARKET HIS PARTICULAR BRAND OF HYPE. HE UNDER ESTIMATES THE AMERICAN PUBLIC'S ABILITY TO SPOT A FRAUD. BUY THIS BOOK AT YOUR PERIL- IT IS A WASTE OF MONEY AND A POOR READ. ZERO STARS IS THE TRUE MEASURE OF THIS WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY!
