Summary: I know who I believe
Review: "To the reviewer from New York....let me see, who do I believe, a commissioned officer with the nation's highest security clearance in the military's most prestigious junior officer position? Or, Sandy Berger, a former and probably future Clinton employee with a vested interest in keeping his and his bosses mistakes under the carpet? I'll go with the colonel."

You believe what you need to believe, but you don't have the intellectual honesty to recognize this as a serious and credible dispute of the colonel, made by a person with an impeccable record for honesty and integrity in addition to being (then) the official with the most senior responsibility for National Security. That would be Berger. Sandy Berger is an honest man and American hero who has earned the respect and deserves to be taken seriously by all patriotic Americans.

The colonel? Colonels have no motivation to lie? Note that there is a lot of $$$ to be made from the hate Clinton/America crowd who in their need to satisfy their hateful lust believes in such things. The clue to this is to note how much he follows the pre-established script and speech patterns that have been conveniently laid out by the other hate Clinton/America books.

You want further proof? How many conservatives have criticized Mr. Bush for sitting for a half hour in the grade school after knowing the nation was under attack? He might have been able to order the last two (or three) planes to be shot down (whose status as being hijacked surely was known) and at least save the people in one tower and the Pentagon. Only the president could have ordered that, and he couldn't have done that while sitting in the classroom and reading stories, no matter how noble that is.

Again. Look at this naked hatred by the conservatives. They only want to divide America.

Also, for libs to accuse anyone of dishonesty on the heels of this country's most dishonest administration in history is absolutely hysterical. It's like Hillary using the "emperor with no clothes on" metaphor regarding President Bush on Tim Russert last week. If there was ever an emperor with no clothes on Hil, literally, it was your hubby.

Folks, this book is the real deal. And, apparently, it's the Democrats who need to read it or be forever sticking their heads into the sand. Clinton apologists are getting really old.

Summary: This book falls under its own weight
Review: Here what Sandy Berger says about these charges:

"At no time during my years at the White House was I unable to reach President Clinton for timely decisions on military action or national security."

"The two incidents described in this book that involve me, regarding Iraq and Bin Laden, simply are false."

Look at the tenor of the reviews here. Like a talk show host in search of OxyContin, the right wing needs to satisfy their desires for hating.

Whether you are a liberal or conservative, you have to agree that George W Bush lied when he said he would be a "uniter and not a divider". This country is being divided more and more with each passing day. Is this good for America? At least under Clinton, Americans could get rich, even George Will was happy about that with Clinton. But not so with Mr. Bush.

Review: Al Santoli writes the forward to Colonel Patterson's shocking book. Santoli is a US Army combat veteran, a foreign policy analyst and a writer. He clearly states that Patterson did not write this book as an attack on the Clintons. Santoli says Buzz describes "only those events and decisions having a direct impact on our nation's defense capabilities that he witnessed or of which he had first hand knowledge".

And Buzz had plenty of first hand knowledge. He was one of the very few military officers in our nation's history to serve at the president's side carrying the suitcase containing the nuclear launch codes.

Patterson was a career Air Force pilot and squadron commander and served four US presidents. He rose through the ranks in the refreshing years when Ronald Reagan was rebuilding the military after the ditherings of Jimmy Carter. He earned his wings in the Grenada rescue mission under the orders of President Reagan. (All right, class. Explain what Grenada was all about. Compare it to the mess in Somalia.)

Here are some of the events to which Col. Patterson was witness. He says Bill Clinton "loathed" the military and set about to weaken it beyond belief. He reduced the active duty force from 2.1 million to 1.6 million. He reduced the Army and 18 full strength divisions to a "vulnerable" twelve. The Air Force went from 76 flight squadron to fifty.

Here are some events as experienced by Patterson. President Clinton with Patterson in tow is at the President's Cup golf match in Lake Manassas, Virginia. Clinton has just given an interview to ESPN and is now in the VIP area having a fine time with Vernon Jordan. The only possible problem to Clinton's enjoying himself is that Sandy Berger is on the phone and must speak to the president. Berger is acting White security advisor. "Major," he addresses Patterson who held that rank at the time, "we're poised to launch air strikes on Iraq and I need the president's nod". When Patterson finally broke into the Clinton-Jordan confab, Clinton ordered "Tell him I'll get back to him later." To find out more about this shocking episode, read the book.

Later in the book the author says that among the military who served in the White House and the professional White House staff the Clintons were noted for "lack of professionalism and courtesy". Patterson calls Hugh and Tony Rodham "characters right out of The Sopranos." Hillary's brothers are described as "loud, obnoxious, demanding and rude." "They thought nothing of asking and expecting an Air Force or Army colonel to carry their golf bags for them." Glorified caddies!

Let me cite one person on the White House staff who was a gentleman. This was White House Chief of Staff Erskine Bowles. When Patterson offered to carry his golf clubs for him Bowles politely refused. "I am ex-Coast Guard enlisted! No military officer is going to carry my clubs."
Read this book! If you start it you cannot put it down. It is mainly concerned with issues of national defense. It is not an all out attack on the Clintons. Hillary is criticized mainly for scolding her staff in public in loud downs. President Bill and his sexual difficulties are mentioned as well they might be. Here is what happened on Patterson's last day on the White House staff when it is almost obligatory that the department staff member go to the Oval Office for a farewell ceremony.

Patterson was not anxious to go but his parents h ad flown in from Atlanta and they were accompanied by Buzz's wife. Here is what Patterson says transpired"...I caught a glance at President Clinton...and I couldn't believe it. He was eyeballing my wife as though she had just entered a singles bar. I was angered and immediately regretted being there and putting my wife in this situation."

Summary: Please don't buy this or any other hate book!
Review: According to the right wing, Bill Clinton invented lying, murder, adultery, and every other negative or wrong thing under the sun. Now whenever someone is caught lying or cheating or whatever, they say it's due to the "Clintonization" of America. Yeah, right, like no one ever lied before Clinton was elected, and about much more serious things. They're always hollering about how he's a murderer and a rapist, a traitor to his country, a regular antichrist, but they never have any proof. They just keep repeating the same crap over and over hoping that if they repeat it enough, it will become true. The Clintons are trying to take over the world, I tell ya! I remember when election 2000 was approaching, they were freaking out about Clinton possibly seizing power and cancelling elections, refusing to leave office. Well, we all know that didn't happen, right? And now if you take a trip over to Freeperville you'll probably find that they have at least one thread where they're sweating bullets about the possibility of Hillary running in '04. They really seem to believe that the universe will implode if Hillary becomes president. They call her a commie lesbian traitor, when they aren't accusing her of sleeping with Vince Foster before she had him murdered, and they love to get together and insult and degrade her in every vile way possible.

The fact that a good number of these people call themselves Christians (Jesus is disgusted by this kind of attitude, people!) and swoon every time Dubya reads a Bible verse off a teleprompter makes it even more disgusting. These are the same people who blame Rush Limbaugh's drug addiction on those eeeevil liberals while firmly believing that any poor person (especially a minority, of course) who makes the same mistake that Rush did should be imprisoned, sterilized, and have their children taken from them and dumped into foster care. And then of course they grumble about having to pay for anything the child might need, I mean, what are we supposed to do with these poor children? Dump them in an alley somewhere and let them starve? I guess if you are rich enough to do the really expensive drugs, then it's okay, we still love you, unless you're a Democrat. Democrats want us to pay those nasty taxes. Well, people, think about it for one minute, please. If you want your community and your nation to have a high standard of living then you must pay taxes. A person making $8.50 an hour and trying to support two kids should not have to pay as much in taxes as a person who pulls in millions a year. It's pretty simple. Lower income families pay their fair share, they just have less of a share than millionaires do. It's not that hard to understand. You can't complain about, say, the poor education level in our country when you're so stingy that you blow a gasket every time you think of some poor inner-city kid actually getting a FREE LUNCH! Paid for by YOUR tax dollars! Oh the horror! Why can't the parents homeschool, like we do, or at least the mother could get up and fix him a hot breakfast before school? Well, here's a clue, some people don't have the same options that you have, and no, everyone cannot always help it. Some people do not have the ability to pull themselves up by their bootstraps, in fact none of us really has that ability since none of us can get anywhere without someone else's help or cooperation. Those Ayn Rand books are just fantasies, people, where is your so-called compassion.

I realize I'm not really discussing the book, but there are lots of other reviews, and besides, if you've read one of these right-wing hate books, or if you've ever heard Ann Coulter or Sean Hannity speak, then you know what's in here. At least check it out at the library instead of buying it.

Summary: Bitter Ex-Employee Out to Make a Buck
Review: Robert Patterson comes across as a bitter ex-employee of the former President. According to the book, the biggest offenses of President Clinton were not dropping everything at once to take a phone call, having a wife who protected her husband (like Barbara Bush), reducing the size and integrating the military. The book is a quick read that does not leave the reader with any information of value. The Radical Right will like this book as it is negative towards Clinton, others will be better off leaving this book on the shelve.

Summary: This is the story of a snake in the grass....
Review: Or at least, that is exactly what Bill Clinton (and Hillary) are depicted as. We the people never entered their minds as they literally raided the White House, disgraced the nation, and dishonored the values and truths we held to be self evident. It was not just the Monica scandal (and others), those is hardly even mentioned in this book. This author tells us things that will shock you so much more than those events. Be wary America, because if we should fall prey to a Clinton or likewise household again, we can only hope we'll have top military aides like "Buzz" Patterson to show us the truth. Can you imagine a president "losing" the nuclear codes to our nation? Eyeballing from top to bottom a military aide's wife in full view of her husband? Letting Osama bin Laden go free? Hating the military? Well, keep imagining, because it gets worse. I could not put the book down and I think all of America should read it. It is fairly written, not a hint of bias, as Col. Patterson struggles to maintain a neutral position on Hillary's antics and behavior and Bill's disgusting nature. Col. Patterson manages to pull it off, so that it does not come out sounding like a hate book, because it is not. The Clinton administration, embarrassing as it was to our nation, was more dangerous to America than a nuclear missile could ever be. You'll be shocked, sickened, dismayed, and (rightfully so) horrified. Please read and spread the word.

Summary: Hey BennyG...Read the Book!
Review: Dude,

Patterson doesn't claim that Clinton sent troops to Somalia..he correctly notes that Clinton CHANGED the mission he inherited from Bush Sr in Somalia and REDUCED the troop strength while INCREASING the mission responsibilities....absolutely factual and verifiable. Thus, Blackhawk Down. Do your homework or at least read the book.

Also, Clinton DID send troops to Rwanda....too little and too late. All they did was bury the dead.

Bosnia and Kosovo were lame attempts at political retribution.

You liberals need to get your collective poop together. Before you feel the need to bleed, read the frikkin book!

Patterson may have made a few bucks but his take is right on. Please at least know what you're talking about before you show you're complete ignorance.

This is not another "flaming right wing rant," its an eyewitness account that anyone who cares to verify the facts can corroborate. It's also an insightful, well written read.

Those who doubt, figure it out! You are wrong. Pick it up. It's great!

Summary: False Information = Slander
Review: Some factual corrections:
*The decision to send troops to Somalia was made by President Bush(SR).

*Clinton did not send troops to Ruwanda - though he should have - it would have prevented one of the worst genocides since WW2.

*Clinton did send troops to Bosnia and Kosovo - preventing genocide and restoring order to a volatile region.

------------------

A true entrepeuneur - the author seized the oportunity to make a few bucks out of his relationship with Clinton. I'm glad he didn't stick to the facts - it makes for a more interesting reading experience.

Put this book next to the one on the latest secrets revealed by Prince Charles' Butler. Better yet, don't buy it!

Review: I went into reading this book with an open mind. Unfortunately, the writer of this book closed his off long ago. It becomes readily apparent that the author has a distaste for anyone who is either unfamiliar with military tradition or does not view them as the most important part of our government. In many situations early in the book, he attempts to tell the reader what the thoughts of the President or the First Lady were, with no backup for these allegations. Additionally, he tries to imply what their intentions were in situations, again with a lack of evidence. Later on, it became evident his problem with changes being made to the military.
