Rating: Summary: Must Read for Citizens Supporting Our Troops!! Review: Everyone that supports our Troups, especially now that they are in Iraq, should read this book. Remember and never forget what is in this book. Starting from the beginning, one shakes their head in disappointment and shame...THIS is how we treat our brothers and sisters in the military? WIC and other federal welfare programs!? Treat the men and women who protect our country as if their purpose was to paint the slums in Rio? THEN, at page 129 and on, your stomach gets tight, starts to ache...not for our patriotic military, but toward this administration who was not qualified/fit to CARRY OUR TROUPS' LUGGAGE!! I am ashamed that Bill and Hillary were our co-presidents. And, for all military people, I am truly sorry we voted for those two and they were the commanders in chief...I'm sorry. God bless our Troups!
Rating: Summary: Garbage Review: Regnery still at it. Such hate parading as Christianity. Read Garry Wills....any Garry Wills. He understands the damage done in the name of religion and right. Military mind sets are, for me, the damnation of civilization. So you don't like Bill Clinton. How fortunate for this author to have the moral authority to condemn a man and put the blame for our current situation on him. Unbelievable! Maybe his next book could be a gossipy condemnation of Washington, DC. That would keep everybody off of George W's neck for awhile. That should give him time to really secure our long-term national security. I'm just feeling safer by the minute.
Rating: Summary: More documentation Review: This book adds more documentation to the fact that Bill Clinton was the biggest phony to ever live in the White House. Our country is lucky to be rid of him.
Rating: Summary: Sickness in the White House Review: I bought Patterson's book this evening and read it in a single sitting. I admit that I had very little respect for President Clinton while he occupied the White House, but had no idea of the depths of his unprofessional conduct until reading Patterson's account of his days as a milaid (military aide) to the President. After reading the book, it is clear to me that Clinton's behavior wasn't merely scandalous in some instances, it was truly a dereliction of duty in a few of them. Patterson's account is both insightful and, at times, heart-breaking. He divides his time between relating the events he personally witnessed, and his analysis of the role Clinton's decadent attitudes and shallow personality played in Clinton policymaking--on both the domestic and foreign stages. I've read a great many of the reviews posted here, and it is easy to see that they are divided between several five-star ratings (including my own) and a bevy of one-star ratings. Most of the one-star reviews consist of nothing more than accusatory posts concerning "conservative revenge", "hate-mongering", or "right-wing rating". But in NONE of those reviews do any of the reviewers respond to any of incidents Patterson presents. I was particularly amused by the reviews that castigate Patterson for his betrayal of trust--but make no mention of Clinton's far greater betrayals and disgraceful conduct. You even have one reviewer who claims to have witnessed the same events as Patterson and calls him a liar. Well, forgive me, but I'll take Patterson's word over that person's. Just goes to show you that some people will never break out of the mold, never think for themselves, and be forever blinded by the hatred that they so eagerly accuse conservatives of wielding. That's why I have come to believe in recent years that liberalism is nothing more than a mental illness based upon unfettered emotionalism, hatred, and intellectual destitution. Anyway, sorry to go off on a political tangent. Please, read the book for yourself.
Rating: Summary: TERRIFIC Review: Judging from some negetive reviews it comes to mind that the truth hurts. The Author's credentials are impeccable or he would not have been in the position that he was. Everything he speaks of falls in line with what we have already seen concerning Clinton. He presents a good case as to how we got to where we are today. This man is to be commended for speaking out speaking the truth . This is an excellent book!!
Rating: Summary: What a patriot? Review: We talk of being patriotic and supporting a President. This book is nothing more than an attempt to make money.
Rating: Summary: Another joke from Regnery Publishing Review: Don't waste your time with this garbage...we all have much better things to do than read this useless book.
Rating: Summary: Dereliction of Duty Review: This book is a must read! Unlike the looney liberals that drink the Clinton kool-aid regularly, I did not need further proof that Mr. Bill is a despicable human being. He spent eight years in office proving that by undermining the military, chasing interns, and ignoring the CIA and FBI. Unfortunately, those who think he is a responsible person will never change their minds because they choose to ignore the facts and have their own agenda. It is easy to spot the far-left reviewers, they are consistently the one-star raters.
Rating: Summary: Terrible Review: This is one of the worst books ever written. it is completely one-sided and does not mention the good things that Clinton did during his 8 years in office. He was not a perfect president but he was not bad either.
Rating: Summary: The Truth Hurts More Than Fiction Review: As a close relative of Buzz Patterson, I can tell you all that Buzz Patterson has more honor, integrity, and virtue than Bill Clinton ever dreamed to be able to pretend to have. His book verifies many, many other accounts of eye witnesses that were unfortunate enough to have crossed paths with the Clintons during his administration. The sad part is that his most ardent supporters STILL cannot accept the absolute fact that this man was able to fool and manipute them with such skill and cunning as to blame all of his bad judgments on someone else, whether real or fictional. This book gives nothing but the facts, and if you would rather believe in fairy tales than the facts, then truly America is in great danger of going the way of Rome. I applaud, wholeheartedly, the courage in which Buzz has written this book, and hope that it will serve as a wake-up call to America to be ever so careful in the leaders that we choose, whether Democrat, Republican, or Independant, for their character flaws may prove too great for even a great nation to bear. Buzz deserves a medal for this book alone. Thanks, Buzz!
