Rating: Summary: Illiterate morons, unite! Review: Someday the Library of Congress will create a new category Fiction--Bill Clinton--Specious attack. Robert Patterson's work will have pride of place in that dubious hall. Like a bad take-out meal, Patterson's work passes through leaving only an oily, empty feeling. His accusations have no substance and are backed only by a tangled web of misstatements, exagerrations and fallacies. Discretion, balance, judgement -- none of these attributions appear at all. For the minority of Americans whose fevered dreams, inexplicably, focus endlessly on the Clintons, this book shall be their Holy Writ, proving again the validity of their mad faith. For the majority of Americans, Patterson's book will be another brick in the rightist pile of Coliseum entertainment. We listen and read not because Limbaugh or Savage or O'Reilly or Patterson are intelligent or reasonable or sane but because their perverse blood-thirst entertains just as much as a lion chasing down a Christian did for Romans.
Rating: Summary: For those who fault the soldier... Review: Allegiance to a president IN OFFICE is required of a military man. After the Clinton "grifters" departed, however, the more important allegiance Robert Patterson felt was to his countrymen. He felt duty-bound, as an American patriot who was witness to the disgrace that was the Clinton presidency, to report the facts. This he has done. And I thank him for doing so.
Rating: Summary: What every american should know Review: I read this book in one evening it held me mesmerized. I knew President Clinton was anti-military. What I didnt know is how he had such contempt that he let this country get to the point where it was attacked on our home territory. What is even more outrageous is that the liberal (whatever) media kept many of these things under wraps. I pray that another person of this character is never put in the White House again. The Clintons and people like them or worse are now infiltrated throughout the media and colleges and even in government, both local and federal. WAKE UP AMERICA!!!!
Rating: Summary: Total and utter baloney Review: If you love Ann Slander Coulter and her minions - Bill O'Reilly and friends - then this is the book for you! I am sure President Clinton was glad that yet some more traitors were in his midst.
Rating: Summary: Steeped in Truth and Facts! Review: This book opened my eyes to so many errors on the part of Bill & Hillary Clinton's presidency. There were so many blunders made and so many political mishaps, that we are only now seeing the insanity unfold! This book is filled with facts and well-researched illustrations of how former President Clinton failed Americans by doing too much or doing nothing at all. I feel sorry for Bill Clinton, he just didn't know what he was doing. He should never have been a president, he was far too naive and dominated by his woman!
Rating: Summary: Insights Into the Troll! Review: This book is absolutely in line with my experiences of Bill Clinton. The old saying "never try to teach a pig to sing, you only waste your breathe and irritate the pig." Sorry Bill, for all the irritations our military caused you. Sorry we tried to invade your Hefner Oval Office with the business of the day.Seldom have I seen a human being so self centered and so seductive to the herd at the same time. Everybody should read this book. When Bill left the office and Al got the rub a great evil was lifted from our government. Great Book. It's amazing that there are people that would still vote this maniac back into office if they could.
Rating: Summary: The truth shall set you free.... Review: This is one of the books that historians should look at in order to write the history books showing that Bill and Hillary Clinton were one of the worst things to happen to the U.S. since the Civil War.
Rating: Summary: Right-wing fanatics continue to blame the Clinton presidency Review: It is truly [sad]that during this time of "national unity" after 9/11 and the war against Iraq that we have this book that seeks to further divide us along ideological lines. The Clinton haters have reached a new low in coming out with a book that should have never been printed because of its half truths and slander. Pres. Clinton's civilian security person has denied that he was ever out of the loop nor was he inaccessible to the codes for our nuclear weapons. Why don't the Right wing fanatics concentrate on our war on terrorism rather than a former president who is no longer a danger to them or is this another case of more personal attacks on the Clintons for fear that Hillary may run for president. Give it a rest guys and use yiour energies in more productive ways.
Rating: Summary: A little hypocritical Review: Okay, I don't like Clinton either, so I bought this book. I hope to save you from the same mistake. There's nothing much in this book. The officer who wrote this book should be ashamed of himself; it's just another Al Regnery sponsored anti-Clinton rant without much substance. Sure, Clinton betrayed the ethical principles that should govern any public official or military officer; that's public knowledge. But the author betrays these same principles just as much by writing this "memoir." After reading this, I know why there's a rape scandal at the Air Force Academy. It's because Air Force officers (like this author) spend too much time working on books that reveal information that should be classified, and not enough time doing their jobs. What right does this author have to reveal details of the President's security precautions? Did the Secret Service review this book in advance? For example, the author blames Clinton for his security detail in Florida being messed up (which was actually the Secret Service and the author's responsibility, not Clinton's). Sure, maybe Clinton had too much to drink and therefore tripped and fell and injured himself, but that doesn't excuse the author from being asleep when he should have been making sure that Clinton had adequate security. Many of the alleged "revelations" in this book turn out to be nothing "big deal" and are generally pretty stupid. For example, the author makes a huge deal out the incident where Clinton was golfing and therefore allegedly failed to order an attack on Iraq when he could have. The author's account doesn't prove anything other than the fact that the author didn't do his job in passing along information in a meaningful manner (and the author never says what happened the next day, or the day after, when Clinton had stopped playing golf and presumably there was plenty of opportunity for Sandy Berger to reach him -- maybe Clinton just decided, as Commander in Chief, that he didn't want to order an attack on Iraq that day. He certainly ordered some attacks later. In fact, G.H.W. Bush also failed similarly to order attacks on Iraqi forces who were attacking Shiites and Kurds -- and he plays golf, too). What this book proves is that the Air Force picked the wrong guy for the job of Clinton's military aide -- they should picked someone who was able to do his job in spite of his dislike of Clinton, and this author was not able to do that. I don't like Clinton either, but the American people elected him, and Congress failed to remove him from office when they found out about all his doings. This author should have saved his sorry stories for evenings around the campfire with his buddies. Hopefully the White House lawyers will be smart enough to make future military aides sign "non disclosure agreements" in the future, to save future Presidents from suffering from similar stupid "memoirs." The Democrats can play this game, too, I think. The author of this book also comes across as very conceited and egotistical, and not a very good "critical thinker" (there are lots of logical flaws in what limited "analysis" appears in this book). I gather from the fact that the author is now no longer in the Air Force that he wasn't stellar officer material, either. Borrow this book from a friend (or buy it, I'm selling my copy used as soon as possible).
Rating: Summary: Clinton sure had charisma (nothingelse) Review: The popularity of William Jefferson Clinton, a draft dodging, skirt chasing, dope smoking infidel surprises me.Derelction of duty shows just how our former commander-in-chief seriously compromised this countries security. You'll find out how Clinton had a golden opportunity to take out bin Laden but Clinton was "unavaiable".You'll find out how Clinton had American pilots in air for hours while he watched Golf! You will also see why Clinton, his VP Gore and his entire administration showed no respect for the US military, the very people who protect this country.
