Summary: Clinton Should Be Behind Bars
Review: Forget the perjury this ethically challenged slime ball committed that would have incarcerated any other American citizen. Clinton committed far worse crimes against this country. Some of these crimes will seriously jeopardize the safety of the USA for many years to come. When you elect a draft dodger who runs the country according to applause meter readings, you get this type of trailer park ethics at the top. Read this book in order to better understand what is critically important for America to avoid in the future.

Summary: Finally!!
Review: This was a GREAT book, written by someone who saw it all and had the GUTS to come out and tell the truth about "co-presidents" Bill and Hillary Clinton. This book will show beyond a doubt that it was Clinton's arrogance, ignorance and loathing of the military that led to the 9/11 tragedy. If you're conservative, this book will confirm everything you've belived for the last 10 years. If you're a liberal, this book will give you a much needed dose of reality. I highly recommend it.

Summary: A Hatchet Job
Review: Tell all books always have a lurid quality to them and I admit that I was drawn in as much as the next man. But as a professional writer, a person who loves truth, and a one who does not take the unsubstantiated as factual, I found this book enormously disappointing and one-sided. I have very mixed feelings about this president; an ambiguity that Mr. Patterson does not possess. A retired general is not always the worst commentator on political affairs, but Mr. Patterson does his reader, himself, and the country a disservice by presenting a thin tissue of half-truths. I admit that I am not privvy to the offices of highest officials and that there may be some truth to his allegations. But his allegations, particularly concerning bin Laden, have no ring of truth; only the ring of partisanship. Were I less forgiving, I would question a man who puts his own political predispositions above his country. I will not do so, but simply say that this is clearly NOT the book to examine national security in the Clinton years.

Summary: A MUST READ!
Review: Every American should read this interesting book by someone who was up close and personal to Bill Clinton the megalomaniac who had absolutely no business in the white house. May we never again be dupped by a slick talker with zero integrity whose only true legacy will be the danger he placed all of us in. This fascinating account is a brilliant lesson. READ IT...

Summary: Incredible - and Scary
Review: This book should be mandatory reading for any US history class - a real eye-opener. Moreover, it is very interesting that most of the negative (1 star) reviews appeared very shortly after the baak was released - maybe someone was trying to sink the book before real people started to find out the truth. This is like Primary Colors, Chapter 2.

Summary: Excuses, excuses, excuses
Review: Wow. I have never seen such a marked divide on Amazon before. People either love this book or they hate this book. Now, before I bought the book, I read EVERY SINGLE review here -- and I couldn't wait to offer my two cents when I finished. Ready? Here it comes:

EXCUSES, EXCUSES, EXCUSES! How many excuses do we have to make for this man? More importantly, WHY are people making those excuses? I researched this book and found out it went thru EVERY single necessary government channel in order to receive clearance for publishing(White House, Pentagon, S.D. CIA, FBI). Not only that but the "wild accusations" as so many of you call them, are well documented and available for the asking all one has to do is look (i.e. there was a full well documented Pentagon investigation of the lost nuclear codes). I read so many "how can this man reveal classified material?" statements I actually got dizzy. Are you people really that stupid? He's not revealing classified material at all. Do you think for a second that our government would have allowed this to be published if it did? Good grief! THE MAN LOST THE NUCLEAR LAUNCH CODES. I REPEAT: THIS PRESIDENT LOST THE NUCLEAR LAUNCH CODES. They could not be found and in fact were never found. What kind of leader is this? You want to blame it on the Monica situation and the Republicans coming after him? You want to use this as a reason he was distracted? If that rattled him, thank God we were never attacked on his watch. Ugh! I don't know about any of you but when I vote for a president I vote for a Commander In Chief, a man who will lead our armed forces and our nation. Leading our armed forces is not slashing their budgets drastically and eliminating military hardware in order to BALANCE THE BUDGET. Nor is being a devisive force among our brave men and women serving with honor their country. Leading is not lawyering EVERYTHING to death and licking ones index finger in order to feel which way the wind is blowing. Oh yeah, and the idea of holding international terrorists accountable under U.S. laws is just about the dumbest thing I have ever heard -- we can't even convict O.J. for Pete's sake! Bin Laden himself is quoted as saying in the late '90's that if one were to attack the U.S. all they would have to fear as retaliation is being sued. The tone of our nation is set at the top and everything below follows suit. I think that was very apparent from '92-'00. Now, I am neither a Republican, nor am I a Democrat, so I'm not looking to slam the left or right -- I'm looking to be objective. What this country requires in order to live up to its potential is a Commander In Chief who does not make decisions based on the latest polls. Outstanding book. Informative. Terrifying at times and enlightening.

God Bless our brave men and women in uniform and God Bless America.

Summary: Sophomoric At Best
Review: After reading this book, I had to wonder what it was even doing on the market. This book is sophomoric at best. The complaints made against Clinton by the author are so miniscule and unimportant that it was a waste of reading time. Here I thought the author was going to reveal some really awful and crushing information on Clinton that had never been revealed. He does nothing of the kind. What he does reveal is unimportant and hardly worth reading in an e-mail let alone a book I paid for.

Those who simply like to bash Clinton at any level may enjoy it simply because it is something to bash Clinton about. But why bother? Take an aspirin and read a good mystery novel; you'll get more for your money. If it wasn't for the imflamatory forward you wouldn't be able to identify it as a right-wing book. The forward is the most disturbing part of the entire book. Reading the rest of the book has about as much emotion as reading the Sunday classifieds, and less entertaining.

All I can say is "save your money" and buy something more meaningful. If you like to bash Clinton, then buy a book that really does some bashing. This book isn't it. Except for the title that may attract attention and the forward, which is the only part the pruchaser probably reads prior to buying, I can't even understand why this book is on the market. It has nothing of substance to offer. If you're going to promise scandal, at least give us some real scandal. This doesn't even come close.
Don't waste your money. It isn't worth it!

Summary: Great Book
Review: This was a great book. It shows the disrespect that the Clintons had for the military and that disrespect showed during military operations under his reign. As someone who was in the military during the Clinton(s) presidency i can understand why troop moral was down and Lt.Col. Patterson makes great points why this moral dropped. Lt.Col. Patterson was an unbiased observer to these atrosities and is not pushing a right wing agenda. President Clinton dismantled national security and this book shows why.

Summary: Wow, this book was lousy
Review: Let me begin by stating that I am not a fan of President Clinton. This book is without a doubt one of the most poorly written, one-sided, and unsubstantiated books I have read. The author mentions time and time again that he is not politcially charged and had no axe to grind. Well, like the liar that keeps repeating himself in an effort to get you to believe him, this author is not being honest.

The points he attempts to make are specious at best, as evidenced in his remark that President Clinton is racist. He offers several short anecdotes to corroborate this opinion. For one, he mentions that President Clinton often "ducked" calls from Jesse Jackson. Wow, he IS a racist. Simply not wanting to talk on the phone with Mr. Jackson makes people racist now. Another time, while the Presidential entourage was stopped at a Tampa Bay Buccaneers practice, a young female aide was heard asking Tony Dungy (a BLACK head coach) if he could tell her where the head coach was. OK, now if your aide doesn't know her NFL head coaches by sight, that makes YOU a racist. Best of all, Alexis Herman, the Afro-American cabinet secretary, once asked a black enlisted man to grab her bags from Air Force One. What a racist Clinton was!! All this time, and I never saw it.

Of course I am being sarcastic, and you are probably saying to yourself "This reader must be joking, or at the very least he is leaving out some details". I assure you I am not. This book is a joke, please do not buy it and allow this huckster to achieve his goal. This book was written for no other reason than to make money on childish and bitter hearsay.

Summary: Confront the Specifics
Review: I can't really add anything to the specifics presented by other reviewers who find favor with "Dereliction of Duty." It reads as a well-written factual account of events witnessed by the author. While the book does occasionally stray into the purely political periphery, it is certainly worth reading by those for whom truth, honor, and integrity have meaning.

As for the numerous one-star ratings--their commentaries speak for themselves. I would say disregard them, but that is self-evident based upon little or no tangible arguments presented. I put forth a challenge to those who would disparage the book: put forth your SPECIFIC arguments based upon the SPECIFIC events cited in the book.
