Summary: So that's what happened...
Review: If you wondered how our military went from total victory in the first Gulf War to a debacle like "Black Hawk Down" in just a few years this book will answer that nagging question. Clinton was able to decrease the deficit but only by decimating our military preparedness! It all makes perfect sense after reading Patterson's book.

The other interesting point you'll come away with is how odious Hillary can be! I actually feel some compassion for Bill after reading this book! Little wonder he was seeking extra-marital affairs! Patterson doesn't rant and rave about either Bill or Hillary Clinton, he dispassionately tells it as he saw it.

Dereliction of Duty is a quick easy read that you'll easily finish in one day but full of facts. Its worth every cent!

Summary: People, Please Read the Book!!!!!!
Review: This is for "ivaluemyprivacy" and all the other "reviewers" who litter the reviews of this book and others. Have you actually read the book? Can you read?

Please...do me a favor and all the other folks who look to reviews for insight. Don't surf amazon and give us your political bias. If you have something worthy to say, then say it. If you're just surfing a particular genre to vent, then stop it. Not a single negative review of this book has had an objective criticism to offer. You are simply exhibiting your ignorance. It's not compelling.

Author Patterson is not a Pulitzer Prize winning writer. This book, though, has value and incredible purpose. It's a "tell it as I saw it" insider's view on a terribly harmful time in our history. It should be required reading in our schools.

Stop the invective and open your liberal minds. You might learn something.

Summary: Great book, but wrong title.
Review: They should have called this book "Chicken Soup for the Clinton Hater's Soul." Or perhaps "Rock Soup..." would be more appropriate. You bring the hate, and LTC Patterson provides a list of lopsided anecdotes, rife with implicit assumptions and questionable omniscience to create the rich stew of self-righteous affrontery that neoconservatives so love to ladle on the Clinton years. It would be comic, if only this kind of polarized personality-bashing didn't come at the expense of what this nation really needs: Intelligent, caring people in the highest levels of government. News Flash: Politicians are all scum. And as long as people keep writing and buying books like this, only scum will ever aspire to be in politics.

Summary: I'm ashamed to be an American...
Review: ...when I think that 43% of the voting public voted for this megalomaniac. Make no mistake, whether Democrat or Republican, this sort of behavior from a President, his wife, friends, relatives and staff, is vulgar, embarrassing, infuriating and down right sickening.

LTC Patterson is a credible witness to the shame that was the Clinton administration. You can't help but feel what he writes...especially if you've ever spent time in the military.

This book is definitely worth the time and money...or, as in my case, the space under the Christmas tree.

Summary: Lt Col Buzz Patterson
Review: I know Buzz and served with him in two different assignments. I consider him a friend. He is a sincere person with an honest story to tell. For the reviewer from Asheville, NC. Buzz was promoted to colonel and chose to turn it down and retire for family reasons. There is no doubt in my military mind that he was on his way to future promotions to general as well. It is our loss. He is still serving his country albeit in another way.

Summary: Crap
Review: There is one particularly instructive point to be made about Lt. Col. Patterson. That is, that he retired as a leiutenant colonel, the same rank he had when he became the nuclear ball-carrier. Apparently, unlike nearly everyone else who has been a presidential military aide, he didn't rate promotion to full colonel.

Summary: Hmmmmm...indeed!
Review: Yet another "review" from someone who hasn't read the book. "Maybe Lt Col Patterson should take one for the team" and "not capitalize on his relationship" with former President Clinton. Maybe "USA All the Way" should read the book. Patterson IS taking one for the "team"...the team of Americans who demand character and integrity in their leaders and a strong commander-in-chief. Apparently, he chose not to "take one" for the Clinton team and we whom have read this book are extremely grateful. We need more of this breed of honest, insightful book, and less of the hate-mongering Michael Moore and Al Franken. Are they taking one for the team? Just a thought.

Summary: Hmmm...
Review: This book is worthless. Instead of exploiting his relationship with President Clinton, Lt. Col. Patterson should take one for the team and keep his mouth shut. Where is his loyalty? Just a thought, though I haven't read the book.

Summary: TREASON
Review: I would not even think about buying this book by LtCol Patterson because of the prelude which reads: 'Patterson argues compellingly, to our armed forces and intelligence services falling into such a demoralized, unprepared state that a disaster was just waiting to happen. That disaster happened on September 11, 2001.' LtCol Patterson, just like many other Americans are trying to blame 9-11 on the Clinton Administration when in fact it happened on the Bush watch! That statement alone leaves me without a desire to read this book... I wonder if this LtCol has ever heard of Treason...
