Summary: Who can believe that it's all in the past?
Review: About 95% of DIANA: PORTRAIT OF A PRINCESS is photos, with only minimal narrative. And almost all of the photos were taken by Fincher, who was a royal photographer. The pictures are fantastic -- a couple just take my breath away. How could this exquisite person be gone? (see page 95) Surely, Diana was one of the most photogenic persons who ever lived. Here in the photos we watch her grow up, make fashion choices (not all good!) to find her own image, and create her own life just in time to lose it. Sometimes she looked a bit like a tired, frumpy housewife. In other pictures she's just perfection. The heavy, oversize book is divided into three parts: For Love, For Loyalty, For Liberty. The printing quality of the photos is EXCELLENT. This was a beautiful gift from my beloved niece, who knows me well. I must say, it makes an excellent gift. This book is one to keep and treasure.

Summary: An absolutely gorgeous book!
Review: Diana: Portrait of a Princess is a stunningly beautiful book full of many never-before seen photos of the Princess. It is all color and printed on very thick, high-quality paper. I have purchased some of Jayne Fincher's previous Diana books and she always publishes wonderful photos of Diana. This book goes from Diana's engagement to her tragic death and is a very special addition to my enormous Diana collection.

Summary: Wonderful Coffee Table Book!
Review: For years, I collected Royalty Monthly Magazine, and any other source that would include photographs of Diana, The Princess of Wales. Now, there was no need, as this book is a wonderfully complete compilation of photographs taken of the life of the late Diana, Princess of Wales. I enjoyed each and every page, as well as the writing. The text tells her fascinating story, but the photographs are crystal clear and artistically pleasing to the eye. Each photograph brings back a memory of a time gone by. From her childhood days, to the Wedding, to her life after Charles. Included is a photograph taken of Diana very close to the last days of her life. It tells it all...it shows a confident, newly born Diana. The reason that I gave my review the title of "Wonderful Coffee Table Book!" is because it truly is the size of a large coffee table book, and a must have! Enjoy! I will treasure this collection of photographs always. I recommend it highly!

Summary: the pictures speak for themselves
Review: great book about a decent person with a true heart for the people and for her sons!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Great pictures of her throughout the years
Review: I have seen and read many books about Princess Diana since she's been in the public eye, and this is one of the best. It's a book mostly of pictures from before her marriage when she was a shy 18 year old, throughout her life to scenes of her funeral. The photographer who covered Princess Diana throughout the years, provided great insight to what kind of person Princess Diana was and a lot of the pictures had never been published before. There were a lot of great pictures of Diana and her sons.

I recommend this book to anyone who would like a refreshing book about the Princess.
