Rating: Summary: Making Hope Happen Review: Most self-reflection journeys offer less personal involvement in the process and more of the author's assumptions about universal experiences. This book offers something much more useful. Its format takes the reader through narratives, exercises, and step-by-step discovery so that, as you journey through the book, you really become the "main character"; you come to understand your own experience of being a "high" or "low" hope person, as well as what you can do to change into someone with optimism and focus. You'll find out that you really CAN become a hopeful, achievement-oriented person---not by trying to use someone else's "one-size-fits-all" formula, but by learning how to let go of past perceptions that don't work for you any more. You will stay who you are, but learn to grow into who you CAN be. It is easy to read, useful in small doses or large, inviting to return to and reflect on.
