Rating: Summary: Never Stick Your Tongue Out At Mama Review: If the title doesn't catch your attention, Mr. Davis' writing certainly will. His essays are told will humor and reverance, and when you aren't chuckling out loud (like when you read about blame shifting and dirty diapers) then you'll no doubt be enjoying the life lessons that he has learned along the way and so honestly shares with his readers. His wry wit is charming and perhaps will even bring a few tears to your eyes as you think back to times in your life when you may have gone through some of the same trials and tribulations. A relatively short, fast reading book, I would easily liken it to Robert Fulghum's wonderful works. I found myself looking for people (in person and over the phone) who would listen to me while I read passages out loud to them. While I originally bought the book for the public library where I am the library manager, I have since ordered two additional copies for myself. If you enjoy looking at life with a sense of fun and knowing that without humor we probably wouldn't make it through the daily rat race, then I think you'll enjoy this book. Based on my first reading -- since it is a book that I am sure I will read through again and again, I believe others will enjoy Mr. Davis' candid writings and I look forward to when Mr. Davis issues a new book.
