Rating: Summary: Dream Cards best to relate to Greater Guidance Review: As the author, Strephon Kaplan-Williams, I just got clearer on the following points which are helpful for the potential user of the Dream Cards.1. Dream Cards are based on the collective unconscious since their images come from people's great dreams that helped change their lives. 2. You use the Dream Cards in a number of spreads devised by the author to deal with life situations as well as dreams. 3. For making choices, shuffle the Cards and choose one Card for you as chooser and one Card each for your choices. This will reflect back to you the qualities in each of your choices. 4. To Choose between lovers use the above Choice Spread but after you choose a Card for yourself as Relator choose a Card for each of your lovers or potential lovers. This will help you understand better your love problem. 5. Most people use the Dream Cards to evoke synchronicity to give the best perspective on how to handle their life and dream situations. 6. You don't need to work with your night dreams to use the Dream Cards. You create a waking dream by shuffling the Cards and laying out one of the spreads. This gives you perspective and direction on your life just like a night dream would. 7. Regular users of the Dream Cards benefit because they develop an ongoing relationship with the guiding sources in their lives. When we follow the guiding source our lives are moving on the right path without resistance. When we follow our own ego our lives meet resistance after resistance which drains our energy, even for years. 8. You have a greater chance to wake up to what life is all about if you use the Dream Cards regularly for new consciousness and perspective. 9. Many people consider Dream Cards better than tarot decks for gaining perspective because the Dream Cards use a Jungian wholeness model and modern symbolism directly from dreams. 10. Learn about your self at the core.
Rating: Summary: How To Use The Dream Cards example at Dreamwork2000.com Review: Click on the button Dream Cards Interactive and there you will be able to click on the back of a Card and get a Dream Cards Reading on some issue in your life or dream. Many people also click on a Card there for a meditational reading for their day. If this works for you, you might well want to buy your own Dream Cards to use at home and with your friends, not only for dream questions but even more for current life issues. Simply think of your issue and suffle the Dream Cards then cut the deck four times and you will have the top Card to offer you perspective on what you are dealing with. You can look at the Wisdom Card that goes with the Dream Card for additional wisdom statements. -- Strephon Kaplan-Williams
Rating: Summary: I'm not the author...and he does go on a bit...but they work Review: These cards offer just the kind of open ended interpretations you need to explore the meaning of your dreams. Unlike books that often give interpretations dredged up from the dim past, they offer a unique and open ended Jungian slant. When I got my deck I had dreamed of a pyramid. I decided to take a random card (like I might with a tarot deck) and see what came up. The picture on the card was surprizingly...a pyramid... and the meaning made sense. Jung would call this synchronisity. I call it usefull. Try them. I've enjoyed my deck tremendously.
Rating: Summary: Advanced Dream Interpretation and More Review: This set is my favorite tool for dream interpretation. I became acquainted with the Dream Cards when my supervisor shared with me that they were being used in a college psychology course on dream interpretation. I bought my own set and taught myself to use them. I learned to read tarot by intuition, and the Dream Cards assisted me with interpreting dreams in the same manner. While symbols are very useful, they are not 100% essential in interpreting your dreams. Colors, images and actions are just as critical and the author's method teaches you to interpret these as well, helping you build the skills necessary to interpret your dreams by intuition. An added benefit is that the cards can be used on their own as a meditation tool for self-guidance and while I haven't used them as such, I'm sure they can even be used as a form of tarot for readings. I've used the cards for about seven years now and have not run across any other method that I would recommend. The price has gone up substantially since I purchased mine, but they are still one of the best investments you'll ever make.
