Summary: San Ten no Kata
Review: As a karate practitioner of many years, I found that training with the San Ten No Kata has been extremely helpful in improving my karate training. I've known Sensei Cruz for close to 30 years, and I find him to be one of the most knowledgeable martialists in the world. It pleases me that he put this work together for all of us. Sensei Cruz took the 50 techniques of karate and put them together in a simple training routine. In a short time, with the understanding of body dynamics, you can master these techniques.

Summary: Martial Arts Training
Review: As a Martial Arts Instructor, this book has helped to give me
another great tool to use for training my students. I have been
using it for a short time so far but each time my students refer to this publication it has helped answere many questions as to movement and positioning of techniques. You can tell there has been quite a few years of study in the Martial Arts to come up with these sets of "No Kata" to help with training. I think this is a must book as a reference guide to Shotokan students. Also other styles can still recieve benifit from this book.

Summary: San Ten no Kata
Review: This is one of the few books that were actually written for instructors. Vincent A. Cruz gives us an insight on kihon training that is no where else to be found. He is not only giving a guideline in his book but he encourages the instructor and student to think and create on his own. He makes a point that drills are not mindless exercise but an nessesity for advanced Kata Training and understanding of Kata Application. I hope we will be seeing more books from him.
