Rating: Summary: Great personal book for keeping your lifestyle in check. Review: There are so many books on diet, health, and nutrition, finding something that specifically applies to you seems impossible. After reading the Pocket Guide to Ayurvedic Healing, I am for the first time getting a handle on my health. This book provides an easy to understand (with everyday examples) wholistic approach to the "science of life." I was amazed at how easy it was to follow. Once you find out your unique constitution, found by taking a 20-question test, you can quickly determine what your basic requirements are for optimal health. Keeping the balance is the name of the game. The author gives you plenty of ideas and resources for keeping your lifestyle in check. Although the principles were derived from India, the author has translated these ancient principles into contemporary times with herbs and foods that you can easily find in your health food store. After carrying this little pocket book around for a short time for quick reference, I suddenly knew how to take care of my health. My friends call me Doc now. I highly recommend this book for anyone trying to stay healthy in these crazy times.
