Summary: Clinical Psychologist's Review
Review: I have been in practice for 33+ years. I have seen many couples and have read many books about marriage and marital therapy. This book by Guinsburg and Overton is probably the best I have read on the subject. The book is easy to read, relevant and cogent. It promises to be a highly effective resource, as a self-help guide for couples with fairly healthy relationships, as a guide for clinicians in dealing with couples whose relationship is troubled, as the basic material for marriage enrichment workshops, and as a primer for training marital therapists.

Hats off to Guinsburg and Overton for a very valuable contribution.

Summary: A great resource for couples!
Review: This book is a "must-read" for all those interested in pursuing committed, authentic, relationships.

Loving, authentic relations, are not formed by chance. Instead, they are a result of a deep commitment between a couple. Guinsburg and Overton successfully present the reader with theoretically sound information and relevant practical questions. The questions posed are most useful in fostering a dialogue about serious issues that are pertinent to the creation and sustainment of a committed relationship.
