Summary: Great overview of a fascinating topic
Review: For anybody interested in how gender and emotion interact with each other, this volume is a treasure trove of information. Some of the chapters are a bit weaker and consist of a lot of descriptive data with few explanations or theories, but a lot of that can be attributed to the relative lack of research on this topic. Gender has taken a long time to evolve its own theories and I think it will take quite a bit longer before we see the first overarching gender and emotion theory which might help place this array of fascinating but scattered findings into a single unifiying framework. But for anyone who does or is thinking about doing research on either gender or emotion will find this volume to be a wonderful overview.
