Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Inspiration to Keep On Working Well Past 60 Review: A celebration of amazing individuals who continued to keep working/volunteering well past retirement - like the author herself. Great interviews which answer questions such as "What makes a person ready to retire?" and "Why do some people seem to get so much joy from their work that they are reluctant to leave it?" as well as, "Why do others use their leisure time volunteering?" This book can provide inspiration to baby-boomers to keep going after 60 rather than retire (to what?)...
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Still Working After All These Years is a Winner! Review: For many people, the American dream is to retire.
For others, the American dream never ends because they continue to stay productive. These are the folks you don't hear about. But you can read about them in Toni Rey's new book, "Still Working After All These Years." It's a compilation of interviews with older people who are still living in the "real world" and grateful they never gave up doing what they love to do.
Our society suffers from "the earth is flat" thinking about aging. It's a given that when you get to a certain age you are "over the hill" and pretty much good for nothing. "Still Working After All These Years" puts "flat earth" thinking to rest. Yes, time marches on, but if you march along with it and refuse to fall behind, life can be fulfilling. It can be more exciting than that you might imagine.
Many of the people interviewed by the author acknowledge the financial benefits of continuing to work. Boomers would benefit from reading this book. They are notoriously ill prepared financially for their later years. It's a "heads up" about how great life can be when you prepare for the future.
"Still Working After All These Years" would also be helpful to seniors who want to get back into the job market and could use some motivation and inspiration to help them take the plunge.
As one who personally reaps the benefits of continuing to work beyond traditional retirement age, I highly recommend "Still Working After All These Years." It's a winner!

Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: 24 good reasons to keep working Review: This book opens with a discussion about why people work and then proceeds with an interesting set of about 24 interviews with individuals who have decided to continue working after the "normal" retirement age of 65. A questionnaire provides probing and detailed ideas for evaluating one's own motivation and desire to work. The book also has a list of web-based and other resources for additional information. The material is clearly laid out and easy to access. Well worth reading if you are planning retirement, ready to rejoin the workforce, or simply curious about what makes people tick.
