Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Totally Inspirational
Review: After years of being unhealthy, overweight, sluggish, or just unmotivated~ this is the book that may help bring you out of that funk. The best part of No More Excuses is that the author, Tawni, practiced (and continues to practice) what she preaches and has lost weight and become fit. Her advice and support through her book and her connectingconnectors website are such a great support system. You will love this book because it follows Tawni on her journey to lose weight and become healthy. All of the useful advice she was given or researched herself are disclosed in No More Excuses. From how to prevent blisters and chafing while running, to nutritional tips, this book is all-inclusive. It also gives you additional resources (books and websites) to gain knowledge about your new active lifestyle (i.e. great places to order larger exercise clothing & bras). I can't say enough good things about this book, so you'll just have to go buy it and see for yourself why No More excuses is not just a great motto, it's a way of life.

Summary: Perfect inspiration for changing your life
Review: As a work-at-home columnist and book author (most recently of "How Come? Planet Earth"), I've found it hard to stay motivated to exercise and eat healthfully (especially with the siren song of the refrigerator calling from downstairs!).

Joining Tawni's "Connectingconnectors" group was one of the best things I've ever done. The daily inspirational message from Tawni helps keep me putting one foot in front of another--run/walking, strength-training, and eating better.

Tawni says, "If I can do it, you can do it!" And that's what's so valuable about her book. Reading about her struggles--and her successes--you see that it's NOT a matter of waiting for motivation. That "will" (as in the force of will), is the faithful force that makes for real changes. And that baby steps, one after the next, will take us to where we want to get.

Highly recommended!

Summary: Great advice and easy to follow
Review: As someone else said, the ideas are basic and, I believe, anyone can follow them. For the true beginner baby steps are essential. There are no diet gimmicks in this book. With a bit of a modification to your eating habits and a daily exercise program everyone can start to feel better. The tips on clothes and other essentials are VERY helpful, especially to the large size woman. Tawni is very motivating and I urge anyone who needs encouragement to subscribe to her daily emails at www.connectingconnectors.com

Summary: No More Excuses......This Book Is Great!
Review: I really shouldn't review this book because I haven't finished it. But its hard to contain my enthusiasm because I'm such a fan of Tawni's anyway. I began receiving her daily e-mails about three years ago and have really come to depend on them as surely as I depend on my daily dose of McDonald's coffee. But unlike McDonald's Tawni is free and far more beneficial. Basic are her motivations like taking baby steps and keeping on the journey. Her book supports the evolution of this philosophy by her own life experiences and further enhances her beliefs for all generations of listeners.

Summary: Thank you Tawni!
Review: One reviewer called this book "Make the Connection II" Ms. Gomes makes no bones about the fact that she was originally inspired by Bob Greene's book. She mentions it on more than one occasion in her book and at her website. That book is what started her journey to a healthy life. "No More Excuses" is a book about HER own individual connection and I find it to be informative, inspirational and it fills me with hope. When I feel like giving up, I pick up the book and read a page or two and I find the courage to take the next baby step!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: realistic
Review: This book tells you exactly what will help you to reach your fitness goals because it is very clear and to the point. It talks about situations we all encounter in our quest for fitness and health. Tawni speaks so openly about her own struggles that I'm sure you can relate. Tawni is honest, warm, articulate and informative. What I liked about the book so much is that it is written by someone like US - not a doctor, dietician, nurse, etc. someone that is at my level when it comes to the weight loss situation. She instantly becomes your best friend. The best part is that it doesn't concentrate on the "d" (diet) word. If you're looking for something fresh and motivating - read the book.
