Review: This is the smartest bad relationship recovery book I've ever read. The author has a great sense of humor and terrific values/common sense. Its not just another quick and easy self help book that doesn't work: The author recognizes that real change takes time, and tells you to take your time with the book and the exercises. I've read the first 50 pages three times, and keep finding something new.

Ms. Shami talks to the reader like one of your best-girlfriend's who's not preaching, but, tells you how to avoid the "7 type's of frogs" whom you know she or her friend's have had both temporary fun and misery with, without male-bashing, while promising, that you too, can be on the road to recovery with journaling exercizes, affirmations, stories about friends who have found true "princes", and ways to pamper the queens and princess' that we are without shame or self-pity. No more worts for me as I'm not into toads, because I've found my fairy god-mother in Ms. Shami!
