Rating: Summary: Intro Psych Textbook Review: I think that this an excellent introductory book for health care professionals at any level. It covers all the major areas that any provider will come across in a psychiatry/psychology field. Chapters that I thought were extremely well done were: what is the psychosocial perspective, basic counseling and communication skills, chemical and behavioral addictions, and challenging patients. I would highly recommend this book to college students, Physician Assistant students, and medical students. A-
