Rating: Summary: SELF AND THE WORLD: LOVE MAKES IT REAL Review: What more important stance in this life than to create the "real" in search of self-understanding. What makes life worth living is the reliance on one's own passion to live life to the fullest each moment, moment to moment. Allowing life to just happen is like holding your breath without knowing it. Our realness makes the world real and all the things and people in it. Our real-ness and resulting interconnectedness makes everyday living transcendent.
Doctor Gargiulo's beautifully honed ability to use poetry to describe human existence is a joy to behold. His understanding of psychoanalysis and spirituality allows him to reveal the countless threads of the individual self and psyche that inform the fabric of humanity's reality, a reality that rests on our uses of paradox and of metaphor. The way I see it, a good analysis, like a good government, allows the individual the freedom to constantly create ourselves in the image of compassion. Relying on infinite wellsprings of hope, hope of being effective and of being understood, we dance to a tune that would make the Pied Piper envious. In loving the world we dance-and all worlds are dancing with us.
Thanks for humming the tune, Doctor Gargiulo.
Rating: Summary: Dig deeper Review: This book takes the reader on a journey that is both spiritual and analytical. Simultaneously, we discover, thanks to the author, that analysis and spirituality can flourish. I would have never immagined that these too seemingly separate disciplines could coexist. Gerald Gargiulio takes the cake!
