Summary: A Good Resource
Review: I had the opportunity to read Patrick Combs' book about a year ago, and was glad I did. Instead of being your typical "rah-rah, go get 'em" type book, it was a helpful resource filled with real-life examples, success stories and concrete information (helpful web sites, resources, etc.). Although specifically targeted towards college-age students, the lessons and ideas behind the book can easily lend themselves to others job-hunting, looking to change their career path or those just trying to figure out what they want to do when they grow up. There isn't any book by itself that is going to make you successful, but this book is an important tool to have in your box on your path to fulfilling your destiny.

Summary: Occasional Gems Scattered Among the Fluff
Review: I see the same word appearing in many of these reviews: FLUFF.

True. It's "fluffy." A lot of gunk. Many paragraphs could have been omitted entirely. Actually, perhaps a chapter or two didn't help me AT ALL and I can't imagine them helping anyone. Those are the BAD points.

The good points: Interesting quotes and "hot tips" in the margins, inspirational and fascinating success stories, funny anecdotes, an interesting author, and little bits you can interest people with in dinner conversations: for instance, the many publishers who are now kicking themselves for having turned down the "Chicken Soup for the Soul" books when it fell into their laps.

This book will do the most for people who are actually BUMMED to be going to college: it will be a pick-me-up and really inspire you to a point where you jump headfirst into the entire college/internship/career scene and follow almost all the advice in the book. If you already have a good college philosophy and are a motivated person, there's not much this book can tell you--save your money.

Summary: MUST READ FOR ALL !!
Review: If you have already made it, then pass it on. Fed up at my possibilities at age 50 and fed up with the system I was introduced in my college years, I have spent thousands of dollars in the past couple of years for the information in this book. This is an absolute MUST READ for every person stuck in a dead end rut, as well as the young person thinking about life after high school. All the answers are here for the proper mind set, which is tantamount for harnessing passion for life after high school. This author has it all together in terms of offering proper advice speaking to passion and not academics!! I can't say enough about how refreshing this read is.........Go for all he has to share. So many websites and phone referrals..get your highlighter out. You will have plenty of action to follow up on.......FABULOUS book for the young person and reiteration for the already entrepreneur......GREAT BOOK! It will not disappoint!

Summary: Feel good book
Review: Patrick Combs can certainly be an inspiration to us all. While his book may not appeal to all those who read it, for those that do read it and are inspired to greatness, no amount of gratitude can be expressed.

I think what is most encouraging and inspiring about this book is that he gives us the confidence to against the norm, and to major in what truely envokes passion in your life. From my experiences, there are a lot of people who encourage you to major in something "smart" and "practical" simply because they were too afraid to chase after their dreams. We shouldn't worry about failure, because the only time we fail is after we think we did.

This is an important book that every college student should read. Patrick gives good tips, great inspiration and is easy to read (perfect for busy college students). So let this book be a stepping stone towards greatness.

Summary: A work well done
Review: This book is a valuable aid in finding a wonderful job. I believe the author does a great job of providing the reader with the information needed to succeed in today's challenging job market. As a fellow author on the topic, "How to find your dream job and make it a reality: solutions for a rewarding and meaningful career," I think this book is great and would be a wonderful complementing resource.
This book is a must-read for anyone who is serious about finding a new job.

Summary: Best Investment You Can Make in your College Career
Review: This book is, hands down, the best investment a person can make in their college career -- and probably in their LIFE! It is fascinating, easy and quick reading, exceptionally USEFUL, and FUN! For less than the cost of a cheap date, you can change your life. All you have to do is: 1. Buy the book; 2. Actually read it, and 3. Take action! None of it is hard to do, and the book gives clear, simple, step by step tips that anyone can follow. Major in Success is the most valuable and inspiring book I own.

Summary: Jump start your future!
Review: This is the most incredible book I have ever read. The book is easy to read and so motivating that I couldn't put it down. The book guides you through all the fears you may have about college and your future careers. It gives you tips on how to overcome your fears and do it anyway. This book gave me a bright outlook and excitement for my future and I would recommend it to anyone. Mostly high school students who plan or are thinking abotu going to college, as I am.

Summary: The best of the best self-help books out there!
Review: Wow! I don't know where to start about this book. Major in Success is such a power tool to help ANYONE (not only college students!) to look for their dream job. I don't know where else I would be without these helpful tips, practical reasonings, and great feedback from people who ALREADY made it! I would definitely recommend it to anyone who are chasing after their dreams but are too shy too. It made a difference in me and I think it would definitely make a difference in you! Here's the big plus: The author is donating 100% of the profits to charities. Not only are you helping yourself, you are helping the world too!
