Review: I had this book for a second-term university course in personality psychology, and found it badly structured and inaccessible. Most people in my course thought that the book explained concepts in a needlessly complex fashion. It offers few concrete examples of concepts, but repeats itself annoyingly and at length sometimes. Also, being interested in theory of science, I found the part about top-down and bottom-up strategies in scientific explanation to be very bad.
