Rating: Summary: Thank You Review: At most times when I was reading this book, I thought "that's just common sense, what are you telling me that's new and helpful?" The authors recount the different lives and choices of 15 older couples in a fragmented series of annecdotes about what they look like, how they enjoy sex, who their friends are and all matters both important and trivial. The authors have a great subject to deal with but did not do the subject justice. Too many stories, and too little practical advice.

Rating: Summary: Thank You Review: I am a widower who hopes to share his life with the right woman. Finding this book was a wonderful suprise. I was not alone in seeking a new love. Many of the examples and suggestions applied to me! After reading it twice I had a comfortable sense of relief. Thank you Jerry and Edith
Rating: Summary: Excellent source on a rarely-discussed topic! Review: I teach a course on Sexuality and Aging, and another on Aging and the Family, and this book makes a great secondary "textbook" for both classes. The couples portrayed provide a terrific look at the realities of later-life marriages / partnerships. I really like the variety of experiences that are covered through the various couples. It would be nice if there were more minority couples, but that can be rectified in their next book!
Rating: Summary: good for all couples Review: this book serves up some eternal truths about relationships, and these factors are relevant for both young and older. i would guess that if you have not embraced these and followed most of them--you have moved on and are no longer together...
