Being brought up as a 'Fundamentalist', I often struggled with my faith since I was never really taught what God's will was... so how then could I exercise faith? This book has changed everything! It goes to great lengths to prove that it IS God's will to heal, and also helps to build the faith in the reader required to receive divine healing. I've experienced some huge paradigm shifts in the way I view God, and my faith in Christ has grown tremendously! I'm converted!!

Bosworth is best remembered for his stand against the Assemblies of God and the teaching of the initial, physical evidence (which Bosworth felt was not biblical) and for this classic book on healing. Despite Bosworth's departure from the Assemblies of God in those early days into the Christian & Missionary Alliance, Bosworth remained firmly committed to the doctrine of divine healing in the atonement of Christ. His views, along with A.B. Simpson's, kept the CMA full of fire.
The book deals with, as the title implies, the healing work of Christ. Bosworth focuses on the promises of God in the Bible for divine healing, the healing ministry of both Jesus and His apostles, and the need for continued healing ministry today. While I found the work dated somewhat, the book overall captures the passion the early Pentecostals had for the presence of God in their daily lives.
Overall, a good book to read for both Pentecostals and non-Pentecsotals. Bosworth's work is a classic and he is still read and taught in many Pentecostal churches and Bible colleges. While I didn't agree fully with his views, I do believe Bosworth touches a nerve we need touched and that is simply: we need God's power to be manifested in the Church again.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: A Timely and Timeless Classic on Healing! Review: Faith is not believing God can but that He will. This book has helped many receive their healing by acting on the truth found within its pages. One of the biggest truths that I took away was the fact that you cannot have faith for something if you do not know God's will on the matter. Without a knowledge of God's will concerning healing or any other matter, you cannot have confidence. Remember, faith is confidence and trust. These two things will never be found where you are ignorant of God's will! Bosworth goes into great lengths to get this point across and for good reason: it makes the difference as to whether you receive or not. Bosworth goes into lengthy detail about the Old Testament types and shadows showing conclusively that God provided for our bodily healing through His death, burial and resurrection, and that it is His will for us. Some believe in a what I'll call a "No-Fault" religion. They simply pray for healing and if God says "yes" on that particular day, then fine--the prayer is answered. And if not, Cay sera sera. Either way, it is not the fault of the person praying. No, this is wrong. Whether or not your prayers are answered depend a whole lot more on you than on God. And Bosworth goes into detail about this subject as well. If you or a loved one is in need of healing and you need to know whether or not God wants you well, then get this book! It could make a difference--between your being healed or your continuing in suffering.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Healing: Once and For All Review: FF Bosworth has written the definitive work on God's healing power and His will to heal all believers. If anyone has ever doubted God's will to heal everyone who asks, this is the book to read.
Relying solely on the Word of God, Bosworth clearly makes the case for divine healing. Page after page, the evidence mounts until the reader, at some point, relents under the weight of that evidence and says. "I believe!" When Christ suffered and died on the cross, He bought our salvation and our healing, once and for all.
If Smith Wigglesworth were alive and read this text, he would surely exclaim, "Amen!" At any rate, I'm glad Kenneth E. Hagin did read Christ the Healer and pointed me to it.
There are some extras in this edition: 22 Reasons Why Some People Aren't Healed, Testimonies, and Thirty-One Questions about divine healing.
This is more than Christian classic - it is a field manual for daily devotions, warfare and victory.

Reading this book convinced my skeptical mind that it is the Lord's will that none of His children suffer illness. Every time I read it I see new truths and my faith is encouraged. I have since started giving it to my sick friends who need a boost in their faith.

Also, I'd get my foundation strong with a lot of Derek prince's teachings. I like a book by a pastor out in Georgia named Henry Wright. "A More Excellent Way" really dives into the spiritual roots of disease. They also teach courses. Also invest in any CD of healing scriptures and let them play all night. Helps me sleep! Get everyone you know to pray for you. Pray for yourself. Talk to God. Bend His ear.

Based on the Bible and its presentation in Christ the Healer, our lack of faith is the reason if we do not see healings today like the ones recorded in the Bible. Through His Word and His Son, God has expressed His Will for healing. There is not one example in the Bible where a person sought healing and did not receive it. Christians need to know what The Word says about healing. Some say, "Well, Jesus just healed to show people that He was the Son of God." Ah, don't people need to see that today more than ever? Read this book!
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: The Healing Word Review: This is the finest, most exhaustive and accurate book on healing that I have ever come across. Bosworth asks and answers the toughest questions, like why do some fail to recieve healing; without the usual evangelical/denominational rhetoric of "He's using this to teach me", "I'm being tested" and the other religious nonsense that the church has been feed in this century. He also takes on the absurd teaching that Paul's Thorn in the Flesh was a sickness that God refused to heal. Lastly, his chapter entitled "Thirty-One Questions" destroys the notion that God brings sickness, that he teaches through suffering and that healing is not for the New Testament Church. When I read these sermons from the 1920's I had to laugh at those who refer to the Word of Faith as a "movement" and those who come against the "new" teachings of Bro. Hagin and Kenneth Copeland... it is the modern day church which has strayed from the Gospel not the WOF "movement". Get this book and share it with loved ones who are under attack in thier bodies. The old-fashioned, straight Bible teachings ring true with a credibility that you would be hard pressed to match on your own. I call you blessed and highly favored!!

Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Outstanding--a must-have in any faith library. Review: You know how some people pray, "Oh Lord, please heal this person if it's Your will," like 1) they don't really expect Him to and 2) they're trying to talk God into doing something He doesn't want to do? It's impossible to have faith for something if you're not SURE God wants to do it. Well, this book will convince you that God DOES want health and wholeness for all His children. And just because the church, as a whole, isn't walking in the light of this absolute, rock-solid, Bible-based truth-- is no reason WE can't! Get this book and go over the principles until the truth really sinks down into your spirit. Then find some like-minded, faith-filled believers and get into fellowship with them. It could save your life one day! And even if you never get sick, you'll be even more convinced of God's goodness and mercy and tender love, not just for all mankind, but for YOU.
