Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Very good basic premise -Get Results! stretched into a book
Review: A VERY quick read with large type. Good thoughts and examples around focusing on RESULTS, not accepting EXCUSES that is stretched into book length

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: All the team building books distilled to purity
Review: The title is the whole point of the book. The 200+ pages that follow elaborate on the simple point of exchanging results for excuses. The message is a simple one that might well have fit into a volume only half as thick. At times the authors are tediously repetitious and sometimes the overuse of metaphors seems a bit contrived or trite. However, the book reads very quickly and stays directly on the point at all times. The authors make a convincing case that eliminating excuses in the workplace is a "magic bullet" for controlling virtually every other common problem we face daily. They open with what the problems are, why they're all related to excuses and step by step what we can do to get rid of excuses and start getting results instead. The authors don't pull any punches or wander around in the world of "but if". They tell it "Pollianna" straight. If you want results, instead of excuses, read this book.
